I hated sleeping all day. By the time I'd wake up it would be dinner time and then I'd have a couple hours to kill before I had to be back at work. Even working at the pool hall sucked. I'd get home about 330am, then sleep most of the day. Got hard to handle shit during the day.

Love nights.

But my wife can't handle me working nights much.

Whenever we get a time sensitive demo or a public conscious job where were doing night work, I get called cause I can hack it.

I'm also blessed with the ability to switch schedules on a whim, it's fantastic.

Now I start work at 6am, typically. And I'm no night person. Fuck.

Used to work nights many years ago,
Now I just get occasional insomnia which leads to about 2-3 hours of sleep.
don’t bother me none.

Pretty common during my switch day, if it lines up as such, forme to just work all day and then the might as well, or vice versa.
Just easier. Then when you're done and sleep, you're switched over.

I worked night shift for a few months and actually enjoyed it. Swing shift was my favorite though. Work OT till 3am was great because it never got in the way of anything important. I would go to bed before the sun rose everyday, and woke up with enough time in the morning to do whatever I wanted before work and I could run errands during the day while everything was open and everyone was working.
Night shifts were cool for me because I only worked 6.5 hours and got paid for 8, but I worked 8 almost everyday and got 1.5 hours of OT out of it.

Now I couldn't work nights if I wanted to. My line of work is basically 9-5.

Often times after my last night of work for the week, I stay up all day afterwards and head to bed about 630-7pm. This works well if I can stay busy during the day, but the minute I slow down I fall asleep.. I also can be pretty grumpy towards the afternoon etc.
