He's gonna need his rear locker so probably better he sits it out. And he's on blown rear stock shocks because he sold his shit before he had someone lined up to do the new ones.

And yeah. I'm spending some time today. Pushing the axle back a bit more, but I checked and I'm about out of threads. Fixing my bump locations, and cycling everything before I put the new coils back in.

Any word on trail conditions? I'm asking because I just tried to go up to Coyote Flat. It's washed out completely between the 1st and 3rd switchbacks. The bank is almost gone and the sand was unstable enough that I didn't even try to get past. I've never seen it like that before. I know a lot of other trails got pretty hammered as well.

Lined up for the rear shocks or the rear 3rd? You can do the 3rd yourself. It ain't hard. Hahaha

Think we're all camping. If you wanna camp you can ride out with me. Or you can drive out and park your truck then ride with me. Either way.
I might drive my truck up and park it . Maybe if u guys hit anything else I can use my truck .... I had the tears lined up for install but speed freak keeps lagging and I'm done with him . Hopefully soon @AssBurns can do me a solid and weld them in for me

There was a Jeep group that was supposed to run it this weekend. I'll check with them in a bit.

That was the gatekeeper, not Odessa gatekeeper. Odessa isn't that terrible compared to motino.
Yes I know that, I’m just saying that the amount of rocks and sand that were moved should be a good indication of what to expect. And inside the canyons themselves the water would be stronger and have more impact

Either way, I'm ready. I'll be dealing with rubbing and grinding, but otherwise the rig is good. Lockers work and my up travel sucks balls in the rear but she should crawl.

Yeah, that was me 6 months ago. I was over it to the point of seriously considering selling it and getting a Can-Am Maverick. In the end I'm really happy I got all my issues sorted. For now at least.
I thought you weren’t into high speed desert stuff?!

Grinding? Like metal on metal? Get that taken care of. lol

It's my fucking flange rubbing my gas skid bolt because my axle isn't pushed back far enough since we redid my lower link mounts. Nothing I can do about it right now. I flipped the bolt so there's a bit more clearance and it's only rubbing the bolt threads instead of the bolt head. I spent an hour under there earlier stuffing the driver side trying to clear it (with no coils) and it should be fine for Odessa.

Still waiting on the group that did Odessa to respond, but the head guy on the group basically told me that the rains made calico fun. Hahaha.

Supposed to rain mid week. I have no idea what we're getting into, but I'm sure we'll figure it out

I doubt it will be much more difficult than last time around. Plus we are all dual locked now so it shouldn’t be any harder than before.

If it gets any more difficult @4runner DOA might not want to do it. I hear he's 0 for 2 so far. I should have taken some photo's of Coyote the other day. It was bad. Depending on whether the FS decides to repair it or not the only access will be the hard way in. That would be a rad season up there. It would keep all the "overlanders" from even getting close.

Saw video of one of the downhill slots on the Doran side. Didn't look nearly as bad as it did a couple years ago. Dude said the trails were in great condition.
