Note: don't fuck with calipers.

My 10 ton press read 11 tons pressing the piston back into one of these fuckers. Finally went bang and slammed in. Slides in and out nice, holds fluid.

No fuckin idea what happened.

Don't think I'll save the other one though. Can't get the piston out for love or money. 150psi through the air chuck, Nada. Trying to press it out, Nada.

Too bad too, if it was good the brake system would have just needed lines.

Edit:
And finally, I decided to drill out the bracketry for 9/16 hardware for the leafs. I'll have to make the shackles a fair bit prettier before they get final installed. But these lots of pissing around before then.

Pretty happy with the last few days on it. Once the steering is finally done there will be a light at the end of the tunnel.
Definitely think I've been held up by time moreso than money, which is a nice problem to have.

I really gotta buy a plasma cutter.

Side note: when using a sawzall, demolition blades work better than steel blades for anything thicker than about 3/32.

Well, the drag link will work.
Have to get a longer TRE, and then have to order the arm.
But it'll work at least.

Think this vehicle is going to get higher though. I've got 3" of uptravel there. And while I get that it's leaf sprung. . . I feel like I'll have more than that.
Only other option is to mount bottom-up. Might look into that..
