I was going to try to run the Envision Fabrication outboard rear shock relocation kit but they have been on a hiatus for a while. I have some Fox 12” 2.0 w/ res to install, so I’m brainstorming for a solution since I don’t have a bender. None of the other plated style relocation brackets are meant for 12” shocks (at least not for a 3rd gen T4R), so I’m thinking I’ll want to stick with the 1.5” tube hoop style for my outboard relocation. Plus I like that the large hoop clears the stock bump area for running hydro bumps later, and also gives me a spot on the tube to mount the resi’s to out of the way.
Here’s what I’m thinking. Get the Low Range 20” generic hoops and make a couple cuts where the tubes are bent and add a straight piece approx 12”-15” and reweld it together. That would give me the exact shaped hoop that Envision sells and I can cut the extra plate for the upper shock tabs easily, and get an off the shelf set of lower shock brackets (maybe 3”- 5” from axle tube to eyelet of the bracket?). Not sure which ones to go with yet.
One benefit, although not really a huge motivating factor, is the cost. The Envision kit is $300+ and I think I can get the DIY stuff for roughly $100 but it’s a lot more figuring shit out myself and to be honest I’d rather pay more to have something I can just weld on and run easily. The Low Range hoops are $55 and lower shock brackets are $25+ depending on who I get them from.
