Agreed, luck played a role for sure.

I parked up top on the asphalt and walked 3 lines, about halfway out. Stomped around and got a feel for what I needed to do. The old lines from others were soft on the bottom so I didn't want to risk it.

Aired down to 15, picked a fresh line that was very crusty on top and went out half way.

Stopped on the hard packed stuff, then walked out again and got a feel for how much further I could go before I sank.

I pretty much went forward into the softer white stuff, broke though the crust and immediately GTFO of there.

If I wasn't fully loaded with camp gear, it wouldn't have been an issue at all I think, not aired down that low. You can see how far my rear tires were chewing into the gross shit haha.

I did that once and never again. We took the wash pretty close to the water but noticed it started to get mushy so I turned up to the side a couple feet above the wash and immediately started to sink deep into the mud. Luckily I already happened to be in 4wd so I pinned it to turn around. Took me about 30 seconds to make a U turn about 30 feet. I was scared of that muck. That salty ass muck rusts the shit out of your rig too if you don't wash it off right away.

It felt like a once in a lifetime type thing, haha. I had to try it. That's cool that you were there too! I wouldn't be surprised if I unknowingly saw your tracks...

Just hosed off the tires and underbits today, it was definitely a bitch to wash off, but worth it.

Words really can't describe the difference between OEM pads and these. Cost versus reward, this one of the cheapest, best things I've done.

Fireroad pussy, yes. But I do some bouncing, I get air. Not crazy jumping air, but I've landed on these bumps and experienced divine salvation. Fuck balls what a change.

I've slammed these, I've compressed them while flexing, I've squeezed them on purpose and I've needed them when I wasn't paying attention. Couldn't endorse them more.

We'll see how they hold up to my abuse.

I'm going to figure out what I can do for the rear.

True. I have to take my Tacoma to the dealer to calibrate the passenger seat air bag from the last outing. @negrotaco hit his head on the roof and dropped his phone and some how his hat ended up in the back seat. He didn't have his seat belt on so maybe that's why.

It's not a honda :violin:

But really, thank you. I'm trying my best with what I got. Gear, lockers, sliders...the to-do list is long but I promise I'll be a big boy someday.

It's still a Honda. Hahaha.

Edit: why do you have passport badges? I should read shit better once in awhile..

Nothing wrong with wheeling on a budget. As a matter of fact it should be very satisfying to do the same with a lot lower budget. When I played golf 15 years ago a guy that I played with cracked a joke on me saying that I was a budget golfer because my stuff wasn't name brand. That was his worst mistake. I busted my ass practicing and by the end of the summer I consistently beat him. Every time I would out drive him or out put him I would look at my clubs sniker and say budget.
The important thing is that you are wheeling and doing it well.

I actually wanted a rodeo years ago, reputably had one of the best engines at the time.

And eventually I bought a blazer instead (worst financial mistake evah)

O shit. I had a blazer. My wife nicked named it the cancer. True money pit.

Before I bought my Civic (I was in college) I was looking at blazers and exploders. My parents talked me out of both. Almost bought a Cherokee too because I wanted 4wd, but it was out of my price range.
