I can tell you that a JK is rated to tow fuck all (something like 3,000 lb) and they get absolutely squirrelly with half of that weight.

So the trailer looks like it’s from off the grid. A rental company for the weekend warrior. Their website has requirements of being able to tow more than 2500 lbs for a teardrop: https://www.rentoffthegrid.com/towing-requirements/

The gladiator can tow 7650 lbs according to Jeep: https://www.jeep.com/gladiator/utility.html
So the likelihood of loading that trailer down with stuff past the jeep’s tow spec is highly unlikely.

Hard to say. The Mojave road is relatively flat and I can't imagine he was driving too fast with a 2k lb trailer. I hit a dip out there one year and caught air, but I was going about 70. Just realized the first pic had all the info.
