I bought my 1st and only CVT tent from the original owner I met due to Craigslist. I love the tent and have stayed in it at least 50 times since March of 2018. BE8D166D-D09C-4F9A-8351-31FDE29CFC7C.jpeg

It takes me all of 10 minutes to put my tent away to go crawling. The part I like about it best is, as I’m sure you all know, the places around here to go crawling are shit for setting up a ground tent. I really like that I can pull it off the trail and pop the tent out with no ground prep.

Regular tents are so much better in so many ways. Unless you are trying to get likes for the gram or look good at the mall. Then RTT’s add like 50 overland points. What’s your OB badge number? I bet that skottle makes your boyfriends sausage taste so much better than a regular grittle.... :flipoff:

Unless you're being poor and carrying all your shit on your back; there is no reason to sleep on the ground.

Find a level place to park the truck, 5 minutes later the tent is up and I'm out of the weather. Rain fly goes up with the tent. Sleeping bags stay in the tent so nothing has to get drug out in the rain/mud other than myself.

Then when it rains 2" overnight there is no worry about waking up in the middle of a lake.

I can usually get my sleeping arrangement setup within about 5 minutes. My tent is pretty damn easy to setup. 3 poles, a rain fly and 6 stakes. The pad just unrolls and sleeping bag is out within seconds. It weighs 6 pounds and tucks nicely in my cargo area losing minimal space. No worry about a heavy ass RTT on the roof or hitting it on a tree or rock. And when I get home I just toss it on the shelf. No worry about having two people moving it or wasting valuable space in my garage. If you have any decent tent, and area to pitch it then no worries about waking up in 2” of water.

https://www.coleman.com/4-person-in...gid=coleman-tentsandshelters-instant#start=17

I bought one of these last year as it was the only 4 person tent I could find that met the higher top + 4 person requirements I had at the time.

It literally goes up in seconds.

I kind of like the idea of a RTT but the added weight up top, packing up camp every day, and figuring out how to get a rottweiler into it kinda rules it out.

1 minute to open mine, 1 to close. Click of a button :gossip:
Mine cost less than $950 including materials and hardware for my bed bars.. :middlefanger:

edit: that 950 includes an additional no questions asked warranty that I purchased for 75 bucks 20170311_212727.jpg
