Regular tents are so much better in so many ways. Unless you are trying to get likes for the gram or look good at the mall. Then RTT’s add like 50 overland points. What’s your OB badge number? I bet that skottle makes your boyfriends sausage taste so much better than a regular grittle....
I can usually get my sleeping arrangement setup within about 5 minutes. My tent is pretty damn easy to setup. 3 poles, a rain fly and 6 stakes. The pad just unrolls and sleeping bag is out within seconds. It weighs 6 pounds and tucks nicely in my cargo area losing minimal space. No worry about a heavy ass RTT on the roof or hitting it on a tree or rock. And when I get home I just toss it on the shelf. No worry about having two people moving it or wasting valuable space in my garage. If you have any decent tent, and area to pitch it then no worries about waking up in 2” of water.
