Do you ever make love to your truck? Because I think I would if it were mine. 1st gen double cab with a bobbed bed and still IFS is like my dream vehicle, but with LT and linky suspensions...

I was just too poor at the time and got a 4runner instead.

Me - I like his truck. I’m going to try and not fuck it all up.

Also me -

So what’s the plan with this? You are just lifting the whole drivetrain up for a flat belly, or just the trans side of things?
I think I’m just going to wait for @eimkeith to make a clocking kit for dual cases. :boink:

I got a lot done today. Got the interior all patched up. Drivers seat mounts.

Still to do-
Passenger seat mounts
Center console
Carrier bearing crossmember

I’m really considering trying some 37s too. :spy:

Probably some other shit I’m forgetting
Why you no share pictures?

Thanks. It’s pretty cool actually. I think it’s a spot pattern and I would prefer a flood, but that’s ok. I need to figure out more lights for the rear though. My tail lights are really dull with all the tape over them. I need to come up with a solid legal-ish rear light setup.
I was told to use a spot for a chase light because it’ll be more visible than a flood pattern.

Depends where you are looking at it from. I’ve followed behind people with spots and sometimes you can lose the light if you look from the wrong angle. I think flood would probably be the best option. Wide angle would be visible from all directions.

Local wheeling sucks ass. I did all the “fun” trails at a local spot and it was fuckin lame. So much closure happening here too.

Closures are happening everywhere. We got lucky three years ago and shut down the FS. They had mapped and planned to close a bunch of "use" trails. Turns out they never did an impact study. That was made public and they held an open town meeting. The whole plan was shot to shit by not only the Bishop town council but also the Inyo County Board of Supervisors. A lot of our economy comes from city folk that like to camp, fish and take their bikes and quads out. I was there and didn't even get to tell the FS to fuck off before they scuttled away with their tales between their legs. lol

I have a big problem with this. Who’s making these decisions to close the land? Why? It doesn’t make sense to me. There’s plenty of land for everyone to enjoy. Why is my enjoyment of the land worth less than everyone else’s? Why is this happening to us.

On another note.

Since wheeling here is poop I guess I’ll just work on the truck. After JUST getting it back together.

Figuring out exactly what to do. Where to weld, where to cut, when to sleep.
New bumper? Excited to see this since I’ll be doing the same thing once I get into my new house.

Yes new bumper. I want the winch higher, and a much better approach angle.
Doing the same thing. Bottom of the winch will be level with the bottom of a 1.75” top tube. Bumper will be tied into an engine cage for more strength. Going to move the bottom of the radiator back a couple inches for more clearance. Do you have the short radiator already?

I like the minimalist front bumper look. Looks sick.
Are you going to run tube from the ends of the bumper to the frame?

@AssBurns asked the same thing. I don’t think so. It’ll kill it I think.
It’ll kill your headlights if you don’t. I still don’t think it being sleeved will help enough to keep the tube from taking out your headlights on a hard hit.
