Something I figured I’d mention to you guys for a good laugh at my expense.

So when I was 18 I did a poker run on my motorcycle with my dad and some friends. I never played poker before then so I had no clue what I was doing. I got to the third stop and I got my third Ace. Me not realizing that’s a good think I said to the dealer who was a teenage kid “man, I keep getting the same damn card” so he exchanged my card for a different one. I went on my way with my new card in my pocket. At the last place we were sitting around our group and I was telling them about the third ace I got and had the kid exchange for a different card. Man did I feel like a complete idiot after that. I could have potentially won the event if I didn’t exchange that damn card.

I figured I’d share that since very time a poker run comes up I remember how much of an idiot I am.

Sucker. I've played poker since I was a kid. My dad liked to gamble and my grandma lived in Vegas most of my childhood so we always had a fuck load of cards around the house. We'd play for literal pennies.

My family isn’t much gamblers. My dad will gamble when he goes to Laughlin or Las Vegas but that’s about it. I’ve never been a fan of gambling or playing games, so I’ve never had a desire to learn.Still to this day I don’t think I’ve ever play the real game of poker. I’d rather hang out and drink beer

Nothing better than sitting around drinking beer and playing poker. Used to do it all the time, even won a couple backyard tournaments.
