lol I was just thinking this…my oldest had fun last year
Idk about this year now with that fire spreading so fast :anon:

I gave up trying to even book a site. Really hope they get that fire under control. Doesn't look good on watch duty. I can see the smoke all the way from Murrieta.

It's bad in that area, had to pick up the kid from Beaumont today and it's just smoke from the 60 to the mountains.

I'd believe it. Fires everywhere right now and we haven't even started with the Santa Ana's yet. Not looking forward to the next month or so.

Dang, its sad to hear about all of the fires. Are your fire seasons consistently in the fall?

Not trying to be a douche, but as someone who's visited, but doesn't live there I'm curious as to the appeal of staying in So Cal? I've got quite a few friends that've moved out that way over the years and I always have wondered about that.

It's been a few years since we've burned like this and we've had a couple really wet winters so there's a ton of brush that grew and dried out. August to October is prime fire season.

The appeal to live here? For me it's the weather and diversity. Otherwise California can fuck itself. Plus I'm stuck until the kid turns 18 regardless.

Totally understand the weather and diversity. I've stayed and worked in El Cajon as well as stayed north of Santa Cruz/ worked in santa cruz. Insanely diverse and probably my favorite work travel experiences to date.

Our fire season is typically in fall in socal because the humidity drops and everything is dried out.

Most part I still like it here. Great off road outside of the city. Yeah it's very expensive. I still have a lot of family. Fires do suck here. This is the fire near me yesterday. Got everything packed last night because they put us under warning last night. So far it's about 6 miles away from me. Way less smoke by me this morning. First day it isn't raining ash on me.

Got downgraded to yellow today. They made a good push yesterday. Hopefully the other 2 fires make improvements

Hey so I'm in the market for new shoes for the taco
The falcon 83s have lasted so long that the tires are deteriorating...
I was thinking about going falcon Force but since I hardly used the truck anymore and it sits other than to go have fun in it I was thinking mud terrains.

Anyone have any input on mud terrains?
No I don't care how long they last No I don't care how much noise they make I've heard that they don't do very well in snow not that I visited very much but if an all-terrain's going to work better for it then I'll probably go with the AT4's

Can't go wrong with the MTs, although I have no idea how they do in snow. Sand, mud, rocks, the grip is amazing.
