April will be perfect for the desert, I plan to camp a few times in April and May
I went to JT for Easter last year and it was borderline too hot. Even during the night it wasn't cold and last year Easter was on April 1st. Been to Glamis mid April and it was pretty hot but definitely tolerable if you can find shade and drink beers while not out riding. I've also have gone hiking in the snow in the hills by my house in mid April back in 2014. It was definitely the lowest I've seen the snow get that late in the season.

What I'm saying is it's unpredictable to know how the desert will be in April.

Supposed to snow here at my house tonight. Might get an inch possibly according to the weather channel.

Yep, tried camping/ partying in Ocotillo near Blowsand many moons ago in May and we left halfway through the night, it was rough. It was like 90 still in the middle of the night!

I'm expecting a cooler spring. We haven't had this much snow up in the mountains locally in a long time so it should help.

spring.... Whats that??? Hahaha
Last time i remember snow in the high desert was over 5yrs ago but ya i think so too. I got catching up to do since i haven't gotten as much Ocotillo time in as i was thinking i would.

I'm just going to pull off the road near main street (one exit east of the ranger station) and grab one of the covers if they are open. Just ride from there.
