I saw a funny Trump meme saying I believe in Global Warming in the summer and don't believe in global warming in the winter.

Supposely global warming means that we get more extreme winters and summers. Stronger high and low pressures systems. So if spring should go from cold to hot like that. This is all the internet. I haven't read any papers on global warming. Right now all I believe in is ManBearPig.

It's absolutely crazy seeing snow from the 91 to the 5 along the toll road in the hills. Usually it's just at the top of Santiago Peak but it's along the entire ridge line. It's a shame that they close the gate at Maple Springs when there's weather so you can't get up to it. The only other option would have been hiking Main Divide from Holy Jim (about 10 miles one way) but you can't get to the trail head because of the fires and floods. It's a shame it's closed off because I bet the falls alone are blasting like they were when I first started going there 26 years ago.

Where do you live that you got snow and I didn't? It came close to my house but it definitely stuck about 1000 ft higher elevation than I'm at (2,600ft).

He’s in murrieta but elevation isn’t the only factor to consider for snow to fall(though a big one obviously)

LOL. I just spent the last 4 days shoveling the roof of the addition I'm doing in Mammoth. Highest drift was 12 feet. There was about 7 feet at the lowest parts. The amount of snow we dumped off it was comical. I hate winter.

Took the family out to Borrego for the day (in the Scion). Spent the day being tourists looking for the wildflowers and were going to hike the Palm Canyon but were unmotivated by the time we were done with lunch. It was cold on the way out. Palomar Mountain was dusted with snow and Lake Henshaw had a dusting of snow on the ground with 35 degree temp around 10am. Ranchita looked like Big Bear! Culp Valley on the grade going down to Borrego had snow too. Crazy day with weather.

This was the turnoff from highway 79 to S2 just past Lake Henshaw

And for shits and giggles, this thing near the end of the paved road at the start of Coyote Canyon
