Oof, hate to interrupt the game of thrones discussion.

Anyone else having their 700lb coils sag? I mean, my truck is heavy with plate bumper, and ifs skid, but I know some of you guys run way more, and I don’t have a winch. I’ve cranked the coils up, but I’m still 1” of taco lean. I know too much preload is a symptom of too light a spring, but I think maybe these springs are just shot. Don’t know anyone running more than a 700. They do have over 40,000 miles on them and were repowdercoated.

I’ve cranked the coil up on the driver side over double what the passenger side is, but I’m still 1” of taco lean. Take a pic of the two sides and post them for comparison

What's your measurements from middle of the hub to the fender on both sides?

Sounds like one of your springs or both are bad, you shouldn't have much preload at all with 700s

Was out in little dunes yesterday in 29 palms and when going up over some it felt like the truck computer was taking over and taking power away. Idk how to completely describe it but has anyone else felt that. The rpms were going down instead of up so I wasn’t spinning the tires. Was I just bogging out? 84943ECC-51FD-4D43-985F-7B02C1535C0B.jpeg30370EE5-8A5F-4C49-9ACC-4D2AE30D66EC.jpeg

I take it back, I thought my driver side had a lot more preload than the passenger side, but it’s not so bad, I need more sleep. :suspicious: I don’t have hub to fender measurements. Top out of the shock is a little harsh which is why I don’t want to add much more preload. Springs are Eibach.

You can see the marks where I adjusted them down because at 0 preload they weren’t setting the ride height at all. First pic is passenger, second is driver.

I've got more than that, but I'm also a lot heavier.

Yeah I think these springs might be on their way out. But I think I'll just crank on the driverside a little bit more for now, not worth it to buy a new set just yet. There used to be some chart that showed how many inches king coil springs could compress before binding, but I can't seem to find it. In reality I can live with a little more preload as long as I avoid harsh top outs.

Those things suck ass. I owned a set and hated them. My dad has a set of nice ones but even he ditched them for the Currie deflator tool. The deflator tool is faster than those auto deflator too. I got mine at the expo for $25

I've got a deflator tool, which is why I haven't bothered with these yet.
