Dude Everytime. Back in 2005 when has was $5 + a gallon in AZ. I was moving right along and I saw the sheriff turn his lights on. I immediately pulled over. He only got two wheels off the dirt before we had to go back on the dirt to get in behind me. When he asked me why I pulled over right away I replied gas is over $5 a gallon I don't want you chasing me anywhere. He chuckled ran my plates and came back and told me to keep it under 55 even though the speed limit is 50.

Stupid germans screwed me over ... my speedo goes from 80 -100 even though the rest in in order ... but being stopped was the best thing to happen cause when I got down the 5 to the 99 there was a real bad accident.. maybe I could have been in it or I could have missed it who knows

chp doesn't let anyone off for getting caught at 99. I call bullshit. anything over 80 in a 65 is a ticket... maybe a reduced ticket but one none the less. chp. does not take kindly to that kinda speed.

Especially on the 5/99 near Bakersfield, because everyone knows that stretch is a speed run. I got nailed coming home from the bay area a few years back. He was on the other side of the freeway and as soon as I saw his tires kick dust I pretty much pulled over and waited. He got me at like 94 on the radar but knocked it down to a 75 in a 65 because I was waiting for him, but he sure as fuck wasn't letting me off with a warning.
