Are any of the closer "local dudes" gonna be able to make it to The Hat (i.e. off the 57/90fwy)... this coming Friday night?

@4runner DOA @Itaro @icetreye

I know Christian can't make it. I think Antonio can't make it either?

@madtaco461 can you go?

@4WALKER I don't know if you ever go to meets? Not sure if you somewhat live nearby to it either?
Was gonna try to make it, but my mom is headed up to my sister's in the bay area on Friday so no baby sitter.

Not much time for meets... or wheeling for that matter lately. If I hit it on my way home from work maybe but I'm too embarrassed to show up in the new company car they issued us. A fucking hyundai kona

@AssBurns are they handing out 2.875 interest rate for 518k or does it stop at 460k or whenever it starts to be a jumbo loan. Tired of paying 5.625 and hearing all these fucking commercials
Not really. Those commercials are super vague, and can rarely be taken seriously. They usually have super low rates to get your attention, then offer super excessive fees to the point it doesn't even make sense. I see it all the time. Rates still are super low, so it would probably be a good time to look into refinancing. Depending which county you are in, the conforming loan limits are $484,350 (San Bernardino or Riverside) or higher if you are in LA, OC or SD. Depending on home value, credit score, etc. I could definitely do less than 4% on a 30 year fixed in LA county with no points or lender fees. Just depends on a few factors. PM me if you want to get some quotes on what we can do. Sounds like you could easily save a few hundred bucks a month.

Finally getting stuff together for repairs and mods. After I ordered the FJ ADD replacement parts I had to cancel the credit card since some cunt stole the number and ordered $2000 of shit, the charge for the order didn't go through for a couple days, should have those parts Friday.

New outer tie rods should be shipping soon.

Dual stick set up for the FJ case should be shipping soon.

I picked up a FJ case from a nearby scrap yard and said it was for an automatic. It looked different from what I was expecting but thought there might have been some small variations year to year so went with it....yeah, turned out it was a manual case. :headwall:found one for cheap down in San Diego and picked it up today. First pic is the manual, it is slightly physically longer and has male splines exposed when it's removed. The automatic has a female-female coupling that comes off with the case on the automatics. It also has 2 sensors and the automatic has 3.

On the way back I stopped at Total Chaos and got a replacement and some extra steering adapters, these things are not cheap at $70ish a piece :headwall:

Already got new inners from low range, apparently these are supposed to be as strong as OEM, but a 1/3 the cost at $40 a piece

$70 a piece for those little fuckers? Fuck. Sounds like we need to invest in a lathe and learn to machine our own parts. (Something I've always wanted to learn anyways)

Sucks about the FJ Case being a manual case. Cool you found the right one though. I still wonder why manufacturers make transmissions/t-cases different tail-housing mounting patterns. I'm sure there is a logical reason, but it just seems odd to have different cases for different transmissions, when you could just have the same tail-housing, and same t-cases across the board.
