You have two options. Napa reman, or a reboot kit. Either way you have to pop the axle out of the diff.

Reman is easier, but more expensive.

Reboot is messy, but much cheaper.



Or this. You will need a 35mm socket for the axle nut and I do have one.

And unlike @Itaro I have a dead blow hammer now so I won't mushroom the threads and make it difficult to get the nut back on.

No way I’m spending anymore money than I have to right now. This house remodel is twice as much as what I had originally planned. I just want to truck to run without any issues.

You can run it as is for now. The boot isn't completely torn so there's probably enough grease to last you. I've been running an axle with a pinhole in it for quite a few months now. Haha.

My understanding is 2-5 days of recovery. My buddy said he was good after 2. Slap a bag of peas on them balls, you'll get the swelling down.

I'm laying on the couch with a bag of peas around my nuts. I'm doing 20 on 5 off for the next 3 hour. Add that to 20mg Valium, a muscle relaxer, and 20 mg of edibles and I feel pretty good considering. lol
