So I’m bringing the family to SoCal for the week and we will be headed home Saturday or Sunday. We will be in the bronco and I thought it might be fun to spend Saturday wheeling. Is anyone doing a run we could tag along with?

Probably have a better chance at drinking than wheeling with the shape most of our trucks are in. Haha.

Let's go!
where could we go? The Bronco is dual locked and on 37's but I don't want to do anything too hard since I just got it and my wife would kill me LOL. But we will be coming from Anaheim and heading home down through San Diego and East on I-8.

White mountain in big bear if you want scenic views and a fun trail. Dual locked will walk right up it. It's not usually crowded, although it's been a few years since I've been up it. You can probably expect pin stripes if the trail leading up to it is over grown. Start at 3n16 crab flats in green valley lake. I've got a gps trace somewhere for it. You can expect a full day from Anaheim. 2 - 2 1/2 hours depending on traffic going up the mountain to the trail head. Another hour or so of dirt to the start. Gotta watch out for the fire road idiots because there's a lot of blind corners.

Well on our way over we thought why not pull into Gordon's Well and just mess around a little in the low front dunes. We didn't air down and didn't maintain momentum and my wife was driving. lol. Fortunately, we had a good Samaritan came by and pulled us out. A little adventure that ended the chance for any more wheeling while on vacation. LOL.

I was about to start airing down when the guy pulled up with a winch on the front of his rig. out in two minutes. super easy. It was fun for me and my 12 year old but a little hot for my wife and 10 year old. Now I just have to get the sand out of everywhere. :)
