Planning on doing a July 4th, 2020 run up Santiago Peak if anyone is interested?

So far the group is fairly small, about 4x trucks right now. 10x is definitely the limit, but groups can be staggered as well. When I went with the last group a while back, there were about 10x trucks and it naturally split up as the faster guys went ahead.

Anyways, I went up it last year on the 4th and there was hardly anyone there.

Anyways, throwing it out there.

How are things in San Diego right now? Phoenix is still having a lot of protests, and unrest. Masks are mandatory but otherwise its almost business as usual.

Going to be there for a few days mid July for vacation. Annual trip and the place we stay is still open/has our deposit since last year. We're going to be skipping the usual tourist stuff given whats going on and mostly hangout at the apartment and the beach.

Still protest, but it's pretty peaceful. Beach parking suppose to open the 5th. Could change. Beaches are open. Masks are required starting this week. A lot of stuff is still closed but it's opening up. Should still be a fun vacation if you keep it low keyed.

Low key is my favorite! I'm legitimately excited NOT to do any shopping or go places that involve crowds. We're stupid lucky, my girlfriends family has been going to/renting rooms at the same place for over 30 years and you literally step out from the back door onto the sidewalk above the beach.

You'll have a good time. I haven't been to the beach yet, but I work a mile from it. The quiet areas are going to be the most fun. Have fun.

I'll post up when we're there, maybe I we can (distantly) meet up. Haven't been to any sort of meet since the good ol days of AZBS on TW. I'd be game to hangout in a parking lot and hangout as long as there are tacos nearby

Brewery tap rooms starting to open again. I haven't been out to a meet since early March. We used to do Thursday evening brewery meets.

You have room to work in there? I guess you make it work when you don't. :)

He's got miles of room to work...

That's a bit deceiving, when the other car isn't here....its better, but doesn't last.

just means work happens fast, so no "let's think and try tomorrow" luxuries.
one day one day. dedicated fuck around space isn't an everyday commodity.

Can't make your wife park in the driveway for a few days?

Her car is worth a metric ton more than mine...no. I wish. If there were better privacy from the driveway, there would be a walled parking canopy up all the time. There are looky-loos, walkers ad nasuem, and the service vehicles. They took my little dump cart out of my front yard that was +75' from the gate in broad daylight. I get my mail stolen. And this is SWANKY part of town over by damn country club. The gardeners had their van looted clean in 5 min just up the street from me. It's insane.

That sucks.
It's nuts that the "nice areas" just becomes a huge target for people. I fucking hate that shit.

Its why there's a portable a/c in there so I can close the door and not worry about window shoppers.
