it should matter. we live in an information age. the need for an electoral college is moot. ranked elections so it's not always just the same salt or pepper choices and more reflects the population.

It matters to a degree, just not in most states.

Keep focusing on the negative and all you'll get is a negative.
This is the truth

The electoral college did exactly what it’s supposed to do

Well Trump already reduced Bears Ears National Monument and opened up ANWR for drilling but don't let a good story get in the way of the truth.

ANWR should have been opened for drilling 30 years ago. Ever been there? Ever enjoy it?

Drilling in ANWR is way the fuck safer then fracking. There's 10B barrels sitting under ANWR. It's safe and easily recoverable. What the fuck are we trying to protect by not drilling it and fracking instead?

But think of the children!

I'm not saying we shouldn't protect the wild, but for fuck sake the environmental hippies are getting out of control, and social media whores are ruining all the good spots. I'll be happy when the world opens back up and the yuppies can sell all their camping gear and go back to starbucks on the weekends.

Nope.

But your point is still relevant, it’s an inline 6 that sucks fuel down.

Anyways your missing my point, you’re not seeing the forrest from the trees.

I see your point, demand conservation, condemn those who don’t do what you wish even though you’re not practicing the same values you’re wanting out of everyone else.

carry on big guy.

Like I said you're missing my point and when did I ever condemn anyone for the vehicle they drive around here? Nice twisting of the facts. Dig back through those previous pages and if I made such a claim I'll apologize for it. I stated that people should be trending towards hybrid/no emission vehicles in which is going to be pushed out through the manufacturer. Most people here drive Toyotas and last I check Toyota has been incredibly slow and dragging their feet on that front. Environmentally speaking buying a Toyota Tacoma instead of an old one is far more damaging to the environment. Toyota doesn't sell retro fit kits to improve the fuel economy of their vehicles.

My original point and one that got completely side railed is that people are going to elect a guy who doesn't give a shit about public lands and has zero interest in that stuff besides making money. I'm a bit shocked that so few actually care about that around here. I guess some of you just identify with Trump for reasons that I'm perplexed by.

In regards to the vehicle I bought I probably drive less than most people on here on a daily basis (my commute is about 3 miles) and sometimes ride my bicycle into work. Nevermind the working from home aspect so you can cut down on a lot of the commuting now and hopefully that'll be a more permanent thing from my employer.

I'm sure the people that actually live there want nothing to do with the oil drilling.

You know what's safer than drilling or fracking? Nuclear energy. Far more people suffer from the effects of coal and oil burning and oil refinement than they've done from nuclear energy. Unfortunately that's a issue that most Americans are rather ignorant on as well.

30 years ago was a time for a stronger push to look into development of molten salt reactors and the such but that got thrown away due to political reasons.

I'm confused that people put such an after thought of the environment and pollution over far less important issues that are faced by society.

Ah yes the typical "all or nothing" mentality.

It's not terribly difficult to live a life in which you try to minimize your environmental impact. Riding a bicycle to work is stupid, much dumber than driving a Prius. Sounds more like you're using your purchases as environmental justification vice the actual reason you bought the stuff (to reduce running costs).

You do realize why there's still ice on the poles right? It's easier for thin ice to freeze vice large chunks. Also sea level rise is real, perhaps you should see how damaging it is in Florida. Like I said before don't let a good story get in the way of the truth.
Slim is back. Why is it you flicking Liberals can’t follow simple directions
I said shut the fuck up till you get half way. I also asked a question that you then write a long ass answer that doesn’t answer the simple question asked. You have a future as a liberal politician.

I stop paying attention/reading when people only care about their opinion.

Yeah well, that's just your opinion.

Is it though? The guy put people in charge of the BLM that clearly demonstrates he doesn't care.

I’m just not going to bother, it’s clear you’re not interested in science.

You let me know when I can drive my rig on nuclear energy and we'll continue this conversation.

I couldn’t wait for you to say that. Science! ok let’s go with it. I don’t believe in science but I own a Prius, solar panels, solar rings, gray water for irrigation, voluntarily recycling, repurpose everything I can.

You believe in science and do what?
I’ll wait? You could have answered this question before but nothing.

So far all I see you doing is pounding your chest saying I believe in science and preaching about it.
The nonbeliever does more than the believer. Got to love it.
I’ll except your silence as you do nothing except talk out your ass.

You believe in things that are tangible, that’s not actually believing and understanding science That’s like saying you understand how things work because you use an iPhone.

You’ve already pointed out that you don’t believe in climate change or that the sea level is rising.
