I see there is a difference in the overall power in the starter of a manual vs an automatic, I am in the process of ordering a new starter, it will be mated to a manual transmission, am I still able to purchase the higher powered starter for an automatic? Reason im asking is I currently have an auto and am doing a swap.

If it bolts up it should work. The only thing is you will have more power/torque on start up. If you ever forget to press the clutch you will jump forward more than the manual starter would if you could even tell the difference.
What is the power/torque difference from manual/ automatic?

Off the top of my head I want to say one's 1.4kw and the auto is 1.8kw. Other then the guts there is no difference. They are interchangeable.

Correct the manual is 1.4kw and the auto is 1.8 i think its a no brainer to go 1.8 especially if i put a slightly heavier flywheel on there which may be a future thing
