It will be interesting to see if this works. It is really a surface area/friction issue. How much can you generate with the little stock bracket?

YES!!! Exactly, it is a surface tension issue. I can adjust the amount of "Tack" or Friction in various types of materials. I will be definitely be choosing a material with a very tacky feel that will grip the smooth casting of the steering rack like crazy. That with a slightly thicker bushing and we have our solution.

What can I say???... Sometimes I'm a little slow...

Lol, I actually have the same issue happening with my truck even after changing over to the Energy Suspension Bushings. So We will all have another option very soon. Yes you will get my first set!

Yeah, the forces we're putting on that stock d-ring bushing and mount are enough to kill it quick. I've gone through 3 bushings since I asked you to look into it last year. lol

It's a step in the right direction for sure. Between this and the weld on re-enforcement gussets you are making it will make it a lot stronger. I think part of the reason the mount itself is bending has to do with the bushing being blown out. That allows more slop in the rack. That in turn allows that rack to generate more force as it moves. That bends the stock mount.

Ideally a weld on secondary mount would make it even more secure. @eimkeith lol
