so bad ass he's running the stock tank AND the Howe resi. LOL

also, your fluid looks like mud...flush the rack before filling it with GM jesus juice.

Actually its almost brand new fluid from the rack change out when I did the slide rack. It looks dirty from all the dust and dirt from wheeling...something you know little about.

Detailed posts with pics and torque values please.
Be as FTWesque as possible. :beathorse:
Pics inbound...TQ is gudentite

I'll start by saying the steering feels as if its got stock tires again..pretty light. The biggest change and the whole reason for this is to get rid of the steering wheel bumping around when you hit shit....speed bumps, pot holes, curbs...well those are kasnerd items.....for the rest of us constantly fighting the wheel off road...those days are gone!

Install is pretty easy...easier if you still have a core support...I dont so mods were in order. The pump has some spacers on the top bolt..front and back to put the pump into the correct position. They are a little tricky to get in there but personally for me its something i practiclly do everyday at work so its wasnt to bad....but the instructions specificlly state its a pain.
The hoses are actually a bit of work...mainly the high pressure hose. It has a 45* fitting and a 90* fitting....so ya gotta clock them right to fit without twisting the shit out of the hose. The clamps for the low pressure hoses are the pinch type (like the stock CV boot clamps) so make sure you have the tool to pinch them...Home Depot sells them. I got mine at Oreilys...it was a load of shit...I had to take a grinder to it to make it work properly.

So running into expected packaging issues on my front with the large 3rd and trying to maintain a low CG. Using the new 4 link calculator, running numbers looking at both a 4 link front(42 degs of tri on lower + 5 degs on uppers) and 3 link + pan bar, with a 4 link it's looking like I need to run an offset hemi joint at the upper axle to get the clearance/angle to clear both the diff center edge (set the mount point +3.5" of axle center line) and will have to use (driver) 1.5" .250" DOM with a bend to clear the driveshaft vs (pass) 1.75" .120" (no bend) with 2.65" johnny joints. Was looking at running the aforementioned plus a Track Bar or just the TB but because of packaging (full hydro ram setup) it will be necessary to run the TB +12" of axle center line. What I've read is telling me TB should be flat at mid travel which means at ride height I need the frame point 1.5" lower then axle with my numbers. The higher and longer the mounting the better is also what I've read... The higher up I mount the TB the higher the oversteer #, I have to get the frame mount point to 22-23" (from ground) to have a .8 oversteer but that would require a mounting bracket hanging down 10" below the frame rail which would be just in front of the steering ram in the pic. guess what i'm looking for is feed back on why I need to lower the TB when most reads say raise and just running the 4 link with no TB assuming to will fit.

Race truck parts cost race truck dollars. But trust me it’s totally worth it. The improvements in steering are huge. Let’s do a day trip and I’ll let you drive.
Im prob a few weeks from being trail ready and definetly want to try yours out. Steering vibes got way worse with long travel.
Took a huge hit to driver lower in El Mirage and my front lca mount is peeling off and cracked. Just ordered jd fab lower pivot kit.lol

Damn thats expensive!
You can piece it together for cheaper with a bigger cooler, I've got most of it together but can't for the life of me figure out where they got the rack return port AN adapter. I found one that adapts to 6AN but couldn't find one that adapts to 8AN. I should be fine with a 6 but if I ever find the adapter they use I'll swap it out for more flow capacity.

The rack -8 adapter looks like they had 2 adapters cut them it in half and tigged them together. Though its such a good job you wouldnt notice if you were not looking for it. the pump itself has to be shimmed for proper alignment. They give you 2 shims for the top...one for the back of the pump and one for the front. The lower bolt has a bushing that slides into the pump to take up that space.
You obviously can piece it together cheaper but being able to pick it up and bolt it straight in is worth the money to just buy it from them IMO.

Edit: Just looked at the parts list for the kit. It states it as a 17mm fitting with a -8 welded to it.

That solves that mystery, I was surprised I found the adapter that I did.

Yeah it's not a bad price for everything considered, with the time and research I've got invested in it at this point it may have been worth it just to buy the kit from them.

Still haven't tried to install the pump but I'm reading it shouldn't be hard at all, looks like the pulley they use in their kit requires the pump to be spaced different than if the stock pulley is used?
