I kept buying. Felt pretty dumb putting more into it but I figured I’ll just keep putting a little more in on a regular basis ain’t the worst plan.
Crypto be on that quick buy and short sale these days. Up your funds then dump em before they low...wash rinse repeat like that ho at the end of the street... ain't none of us got 60k to buy a single bitcoin. Ride em rough then fuck em cause we can. They show us no different love when it comes to crypto. Just sayin...

crypto riots this week. All the majors at a high... bitcoin, erthrium, and lite coin... dumped em all as well. catch em on the flip side when they tank. Maybe another country will announce bitcoin as national currency and we can watch it drop after the spike haha
Good man. And yep that's the plan!

401k finally hit 100k
Started it 8 years ago though and I have only put in 3% with a 3% match and yearly profit sharing. Not sure if that's good or not but it makes me feel warm and fuzzy having 6 digits in the "bank"
That’s the proper way to do it.

It was a rocket from 60k to about 90k when Trump was in office. Then it got kicked square in the pussy once Biden and covid hit the market. I'm just happy it bounced back and then finally crested the hill.

Yeah that was basically my whole portfolio. Still hoping it recovers but it’s an crawl right now.

That's rad man! Keep it up! Just imagine what it'll be in another 10 or 20 years.
I recently signed the paperwork to set up my company for 401k for the employees. Most of them don't put money away for themselves, so we wanted to give them incentive to put money away for their future. I'd love to hear that one of them hit $100k in their accounts someday.

My wife starts her 401k next month with her new job. They do a 50% match up to 3% on their part. So she’ll put in 6% and they’ll do 3% so that’s 9% every pay check. That adds up pretty quick

Mine does 50% up to 6% I'm currently contributing 10% because I have to make up for what I pulled earlier this year to go debt free. If I get a 3% raise again I plan on bumping it another 2%

100% up to 3% so that's all I do until I can do the proper 15% but I figure I should account for their 3% they match right? So when able I should do 12 and they do the other 3 to make it 15 or am I supposed to put 15 and take their 3 to make 18?
The profit sharing is cool because that's about a 4k dump into the account once a year. It's a percentage of your yearly income that they give.

Kind of depends on your goals. If you can put in 15% of your own then definitely shoot for it, but at least try to get 12% of your own when you can and work up from there. There is no wrong answer. Eventually you get capped at $19,500/yr of your own contributions so at some point you can’t put more than the allotted max. Luckily it’s a pretty decent chunk you get to put away.
100% up to 4 is pretty badass considering you guys are a smaller company.
Trying to offer a good place to work with full benefits to employees. 401k is hopefully starting on the 1st, and health, dental, vision starts on Nov 1st as well. We are only doing 50% employer contribution towards health benefits for employees (they are welcome to have their dependents covered but we aren’t contributing towards dependents).
We looked into profit sharing but with me being the youngest person in the office, I get zero benefit of the profit sharing plan. Usually it’s age weighted so the owner of the company gets the largest portion of the plan. Youngest member always gets the short end of the stick. I ain’t about that shit haha
