Figured I throw this out there in case anyone wants to meet up or run some of this along the way. Or just in case my son and I disappear and we don't surface somewhere along the line since we'll be solo 80 of the time.

I'm leaving Anaheim sometime Monday, June 17th. Heading north along the 14 to jawbone canyon. I'll be taking jawbone into lake Isabella where we'll camp 1 or 2 days. From Isabella we'll be heading north of kernville into the upper sequoia's. The plan, if it's open, is to take Sherman 4x4 trail east until we reconnect near monache Meadows or kennedy Meadows. Where I'll camp another night. If it's not open I'll take the 178 east to the 395 and camp either at trona or further north near Alabama hills or inside death valley near panamint springs.

I'm booked at the travel Lodge in bishop for Thursday June 20th which should be my first major check in with anyone. I'll be meeting @theesotericone for some sort of trail/camping for the weekend before departing west Sunday June 23rd for the bay area.

At some point during the bishop trip, or after depending whether Niagra rim is open, I plan on going to mono lake and Bodie ghost town. That will be updated depending on conditions when I get to bishop.

Heading west if 120 is open I'll likely cruise through Yosemite and camp west of the Sierras, or if Niagra is open I'll be taking (I believe) 108 west and camping along there. I plan on being in Pacifica by Tuesday June 25th.

After this I should have service the majority of the way home after a stay in Santa Cruz for a couple days. Not sure if I'm gonna shoot straight home or camp halfway yet.

Just a heads up. You will not be able to take 120. It won't be open until closer to the 4th of July this year.

Yeah I figured I'd play that one by ear/maps. It's been a bit warmer so I'm hoping it may open but if not going north to the 108 or whatever is actually more convenient since that let's us see mono lake and Bodie. I'm actually concerned about my route east out of kernville too because that road is higher elevation and tends to have issues too. I really just wanna get Robbie up into the giant redwoods before we leave the area.

Sounds sick have fun man. Bring a good camera and not some cell phone potato

Hahah. Yeah I'll have my dslr and a few different lenses. I just need to find my tripod mount, which I forgot when we were out in the mojave a few weeks ago. Since we'll be solo most of the time it'll be easier to stop and take pics when I want to.

Okay plans changed due to some emergency maintenance. Hoping to leave Weds, camp at Kennedy Meadows, then follow the rest of the trip through santa Cruz, but drop down into the redwoods and kernville from the West to camp at lake Isabella on the way home and follow jawbone out to the 14 from the lake.

Finally headed off grid today for a few days. Don't break my fucking forum. If nobody hears from me by Monday night, I'm somewhere near mono lake or west along the 108. Haha. If I don't surface by Tuesday, send out the search parties because I should be in the bay area by then.

Still in awe about Lake Isabella, i've never been to a spot like that before. Be safe dude.

Dude?! How the fuck are you constantly blowing out tires? It’s obviously user error at this point :flipoff:

Bro, you have no idea. You couldn't have tried to hit that rock in any worse position than @4runner DOA did. I'm pretty sure he was trying to sabotage the trip. lol
