Modified and got 2 of the 3 skids on, changed the engine oil, torque checked the diff and case fill and drains, moved the transfer case aftermarket skid crossmember back, gonna have to do some heavy modifications to the transfer case skid to get it to fit, I'll take care of that tomorrow. I ordered the wrong size straps for the front so I'll get it back on the ground and rolling and drive it down to Kartek to get shorter straps, if it doesn't break down on the way there or back I'll probably be good to go for the trip.

Also my driverside LCA uniball is bad again with a tiny amount of slop in it, probably the passenger is bad too. I've tried FK and Aurora now, and neither lasted as long as the ones that came with the kit.... Which apparently are just FK parts. I dunno wtf is killing them before I even get to 10k on them. I'll change it out if I get the chance but it'll be fine for a single trip.

Yesterday I rebooted the driverside CV swapped out the shitty inner joint snap ring and filled up the Tacobox.... It took almost a gallon of gear oil.... And a bunch of other shit

Cool. I decided to just suck it up and drive through Yosemite Thursday after work. Let's make sure it's a go by Wednesday night. It's a go on my end for sure.

Should know for sure by then, hoping to get it out on Cleghorn for testing on wednesday

What time you planning that? I may cruise for shits and giggles and to get the kid out of the house for a couple hours.

No Idea, I'm trying to flip my sleeping time but keep having issues and not getting as much done as I need, if I go up there it'll just be on the fireroad, not going to mess around on the spurs

Didn't get out to Kartek today, but put the front back together enough to drive it around the neighborhood, everything seems OK. Put the interior back together enough to see how much the stick is going to move under heavy load and see if I have to clearance the center console plastic more. Dealt with a bunch of annoying clearancing issues in the console and a shifter knob I bought I probably can't use due to clearance issues. Partially modded the last skid, gonna have to get a 7.5x17" piece of 1/4 plate to close the gap I had to make in them and gusset it.

Also got a check engine light for a speed sensor for some reason, googling around looks like it could be a dozen different fucking things but don't have time to check anything and the speedometer works, so fuck it. I'll figure it out after Swamp lake most likely

I never look at my speedo because it's off by 12%. Get this app and just use your phone. Also google maps has a GPS speed option you can turn on.

Google maps has a speedometer now too, so it even if mine didn't work I'd still say fuck it, but I still use it for a quick reference for what I need to stay below. The CEL actually comes in under cruise control, so cruise control might not work.....not that I can use it anyway with the 37s and too low diff gearing

I use just a speedo app when I'm driving my truck. It just shows the the speed in big bold numbers, and a black background so it's not bright as shit at night. Works super well for me. Basically the same as the app you showed but less options to get distracted by.

Have you ever had a stripped bolt in your skid plate? Then you go to the store and they don't have the M8 that you need? But they do have a grade 8 5/16th? Then you convert 8mm to inches and get .315. Then you convert 5/16 to decimal and get .313. You say fuck it and buy the SAE 5/16 course thread knowing it won't work but it will be really really close. Then you get home and impact that fucker in? Yeah, I just did that. It's bomber. lol

@Tetten My alignment is done and my skids are back on. I'm packing in a few unless you say otherwise. Plan is to drive tomorrow night to Shaver and crash. Then I'll play around in the morning and make it to the pizza joint by noon. Let's just meet there. I'm almost positive I have cell service in Shaver Lake. I'm stoked to get on this thing and I'm sure you are too. It'll be a great shakedown run for your new cases.

Yep. Good pizza and it's a lot easier then finding the swamp lake trailhead. If I'm at the trailhead I'll want to go. At the pizza joint I can just chill and try to be patient. lol
You can fish at a lake and I can meet you at the lake if you'd prefer that

It's fine man. Let's just meet at the pizza joint. I'll either wheel or fish in the morning then call you around lunch to see where you're at.

I'm at camp for tonight. It's on Andy. I'm 2 miles from shaver lake with almost no service. Please don't bring firewood. I'm camped next to enough dead wood to supply Burning Man.
