An attempt to transfer some of my build thread from over "there" to over here.
Pretty much sums up what got me into a Toyota. I have fond memories as a kid with my uncle and his '85 and later '89 Toyota pickups. I believe the '89 ended up with over 650,000 km (~430,000 mi) on it before he sold it to someone else and they continued to drive it for another 5-7 years after that.
Pic of the truck shortly after I picked it up.......I had originally been looking for a pyrite mica at the time and then just coincidentally I came across this 2013 TRD OR spruce mica at a Honda dealership. It had around 23k miles on it at time of purchase.
The truck was of course approved by copilot.
Over about 24 months into ownership......new wheels, 32" Duratracs, Leer cap, All-Pro dual swing out rear, BAMF sliders and skid trilogy.
Bye bye PNW.
After having lived in the Pacific Northwest (about an hour north of Seattle), career opportunities brought us to Arid-zona. The canopy didn't work out so well down here because even with the windows open, it was far too hot for my dog. Canopy was sold and a BAMF (slightly modified) bed rack was added.
