I am looking to buy a 1995 tahoe or blazer and lift it and all that.I am kinda of new to the whole off roading thing. I don't know to much except that i have a bunch of friends who are really into it and i have gone with them on multiple occasions. I have also driven their vehicles offroad so i do have experience with driving offroad. I think that tahoe's and blazers are generally the same but would the longer wheelbase of the tahoe affect its off road ability? any suggestions on what would be a better choice are appreciated.

80's Toyota straight axle. Tacoma, 4 runner, Suzuki samurai on Toyota axles and watch your friends breaker their rigs trying to follow your lines.

I don't really know much about either of those vehicles, but any reason you are preferring these particular vehicles? Ever consider a Toyota or Ford? I'd pickup a Bronco over a Blazer any day. Twin Traction Beam can be strong and has the ability to be fast for cheap.
What type of offroading are you planning to do with this vehicle, and will it just be an offroad rig or will it be a daily driver too?

If it's rock crawling only, pick up something with a solid axle (Old toyota, Jeep, Old Bronco, Etc)

A forum dedicated to IFS being used offroad doesnt even reccomend such a thing?
I can’t recommend IFS if all you wanna do is crawl. By far not the best platform to rock crawl. If he wants to go fast, or have a comfortable rig to handle a little bit of everything, then absolutely IFS.

I’m going to be building mine to be able to do some go fast then rock crawl. It’s all about priorities.

I wish these spam accounts would do more than 1 posts. Can't even troll them.

These 2 were from Pakistan, probably can't even understand what they posted. What's odd is that usually those kinds of accounts are getting onto forums/blogs to leave links to websites so it creates back links or viruses, but these last couple haven't done that. So not sure what the point of being a spam account asking a semi legit question is all about.

I had a 99 4dr blazer. It was a 3 year lease return. One of the worst financial mistakes I’ve ever made.

Did roll it for 8 years tho. In the long run when you factor in the only the amount I paid and repairs it was about 3 grand a year. Which isn’t terrible
