His camp is supposed to be here,

33.264697, -115.993607 . I'll be finding it tonight. I'll letcha know what to look for when I get there , should have connection
I camped literally across the rd from that spot last year. Was nice to be sort of out of the way from the main event.

Is it away from the crowd? I haven't been to this spot before
It's just before Holmes Rd, which is where majority of people camp since it's flat and by the obstacle course. This spot is about 1/2 mile (maybe a little less) further than Holmes Rd.

Haha. I just left that area. I was just across the street at a buddies camp. I’ll try and swing by tomorrow some time.

The wind sucked balls out there, We only stuck around till about 3pm. Rolled up on a Rav4 that 2 chicks rolled off a cliff into a wash. There were 3-4 jeeps just parked watching and no one was doing anything. So me and bro in-laws cousin checked to make sure they were good and moved our trucks to the side and winch it back on its wheels.

They were probably trying to figure out how to strategically place everything for the best instagram recovery story.

A little recap. This was hands down the worst year for TDS in the years that I have been going. The notches now look like ant hills. There were very few rigs there doing any crazy shit. The crowd was about 1/3 the size as it usually is, and it was overwhelmingly locals and the cholo/gangbanger type. There were cops everywhere at the notches having people dump their beer left and right. I saw quite a few people get instantly stopped for sobriety tests as they entered their vehicles. There were tons of people and rigs at the waterfall, but only 2 tried going up in a little over an hour that we were there. There were only a handful of vendors due to everybody being at the off road expo in AZ. The shitbags across from my camp were burning pallets. Another neighbor got jacked for 20 gallons of fuel.

All that, and maybe more that I do not recall at the moment, on top of my truck being put out of commission due to my rear main leaking so profusely that it oil soaked my clutch and there was a noticeable drop in oil pressure. I discussed it with my crew, and we will most likely plan a trip elsewhere for the same weekend next year, but KOH is still a must.
