Shit, I happen to have those dates free for a wheeling trip. I was going to post up about it after my rig is back on the road. Doing the Con twice in a year would be pretty sweet. How big is the group and how experienced are the guys going?
You would be the most experienced, non of us wheel like you based on photos, we try to avoid dents and scratches where we can but we are all armored and ready to have a good time. I think some of us are bringing wives as well. So if you got a lady bring her as well.

I saw my boss today for the first time since his little temper tantrum forcing the crew back to 8's because of me taking time off on back to back weekends. I got a huge apology and where back on 10's. I guess he's dome bleeding for the month. lol

@Mike_taco4x4 How's that clutch buddy? lol
Having the dealer double check the adjustments and master cylinder today. I got the noise gone and it rides great but the throwout is riding on the pressure plate so it will fail quickly. I have adjusted a billion times already so i have to have somebody else check it out. Not expecting good results cause the dealer ia a bunch of dumbfucks anyways.

Looks like im probably just gonna pull all the aftermarket shit and have toyota put in stock. Though it drove fine for me. They turned it on this morning and clutch started smoking. I turned it on right now and it makes noise and i can smell clutch. Cant tell you furious i am that i test drove after making numerous adjustments and had no issue like that. The second they touch more problems arise. Could be coincidental but doesnt matter cause that will piss anybody off.
Im just fucking over it and want to drive my truck again. So cheers to a ton of wasted time and more wasted money. Tempted to walk in front of a bus right now

Toyota put his in backwordz which i dont even know how thats possible. I either got something wrong on install or faulty aftermarket part. It has to be either fork, throwout,or pressure plate related. Like i said im just over it. I need the shit to work and somebody to own if it doesnt. Im not looking to take all apart again. Im fuckin done with this shit

I thought he just went back to a stock clutch instead of the stage or whatever. Just have Toyota slap some stock shit back in and call it a day. Sucks it's a loss.

Seriously though fuck this truck. I want to sell this crap and get a rzr

I feel that way every time my rig is broken. Which is way more often then yours. Probably because I actually wheel it. lol

You'll get over it and you'll work some OT to make up for the funds. Shit breaks and bad parts happen. It's all part of owning a rig.

Oh, and cement trucks are way more sure fire then buses.

Staring at my rig right now thinking I should work on it while I still have sun and it's cooled down. Really fucking tired of working on it after every trip though. Hahah. I need to order some parts anyway.

The gist:

I thought it was harder that Dusy.

Matt thought it was easier.

We both had to get tugged once.

I had to get spotted 2 or 3 times.

We finished the technical part in 8 hours, that was after getting held up by another group in front of us. We could have completely finished the entire thing staging area to staging area in a little over 7 hours.

I smashed my front bumper/passenger fender being a dip shit and fucking around. I put a small dent on both rear doors. Matt dinged one of his rear doors.

We ran Slick Rock Trail today, if it wasn't for 2 optional obstacles that trail would be a joke.

Matt fucked up his diff on little sluice and we are waiting on Sonora pass for a AAA to get his junk back to bishop. It's pissing oil pretty bad and the bottom fasteners are stripped.

Other than Matt's diff nothing broke.

Holy shit, we did not have the same experience, maybe its cause we had 7 rigs and 2 of us not locked at all, and maybe cause its most of us do not have the same amount of seat time as y'all do on this sort of technical trail.

We went from Loon Lake to Tahoe. Spent 12 hours the first day, got to Buck dam(5.7Mi marker), spent 12 hours the next day and got home.

Busted my steering rack housing(it sheered) steering shaft itself was fine, but power steering was gone at that point, and blew my rear axle seal on passenger side on the way home from Tahoe.

10/10 but would not fucking do that again any time soon.

Amazing what some lockers can help with. You can't, I fucking repeat can't, rock crawl open/open or trying to rely on traction aids like atrac. I tried twice and while I got further the first time than the second, I learned some valuable lessons about how important control and lockers were from it all. You can skinny pedal up loose hills, you can't skinny pedal over a boulder.

Yeah, lockers make it a lot easier. Also it was just 2 of us. Up until the overlook at the top of Cadillac hill we probably had less than 20 minutes outside our trucks, no BS breaks, no snacks/beer breaks, no stops to watch other people or video people... We basically crawled non stop for 7 hours until we got stuck behind another group.
