Happy birthday to my daughter. Didn’t know that you could get them this cheaply. 148K on it, but runs like a great little (fast) go kart.

Of course, as soon as I leave the guy’s driveway the check engine light comes on. It’ll be fun to have a pocket rocket project in the family again. My last one was a ‘93 Golf.

Or enjoy the ride of wrenching... :headwall: but if you do... use FCPeuro as much as possible. Not affiliated, but they have a lifetime replacement on pretty much ALL parts. Even batteries and wiper blades. Yes, I've mentioned that before around these parts.

Thanks for the tip. Going to need a power steering pump at a minimum.

Put it up on jack stands yesterday and got under it. Typical Wisconsin rust that will need tending to. Tiny little springs! Something like two turns of wire. Probably leaky crank sensor or main seals. Not surprised for 148,000 miles. I’d never seen struts that clamp into place before.

Looks like a can drop the whole front end with a dozen bolts or so and service/replace the entire suspension as needed. Pretty cool kart.
