At a good note tw is slowly dying. Local sections are a ghost town. Honestly YouTube will get you far greater hits. Shit, I just watched someone’s YouTube on how to install some aftermarket parts on my car. The write up wasn’t great plus they gave me a heads up hey this area sucks ass.

Forums in general are dying. Tw is still a money maker as long as they get hits looking for tech advice. If people who contributed then get banned would request their posts be deleted, tw would have less actual info to make them money.

The OC thread has been pretty much dead for a good year
Kind of a shame, some of you guys and others on there got me into wheeling and taught my hoe to wrench on my truck

Yeah, YouTube for sure and even Toyota Facebook pages get me better engagement. I would post a new video of ours on T4R or Tacoma World and I'd get a handful of likes and a couple comments. Back when I started frequenting forums around 7 years ago, the traffic on the forum was much greater. It depends on the Facebook group, but I can get a lot of engagement from posting a new video. 3rd Gen Mafia seems to have the biggest concentration of fans of my channel. When I posted my timing belt video on 3rd Gen Mafia, it got up to 1,000 likes. That was impressive. Some pages are very sleepy and a post from me barely gets noticed. My goal is to have people find my videos. I want people to use them and benefit from them so that's why I try to get them out on as many sites as possible. But, I just don't post videos and exit stage left. I try to help where I can in the threads and posts people make.

Can you actually ask them to delete your posts? I started lots of threads and shared tons of good tech with those assholes. I'd love to be able to force them to take all my contributions down, especially if they are making money off people's searches for information which brings them to one of my posts on TW. If you know how I can do this, please advise.

It took a few weeks of emails and threatening legal action but yes I ended getting close to 50k posts deleted that I started.

Then delete all my posts. If you aren't gonna let my current posts be seen remove me. For a no moderation site seems like you sure do like to moderate. I get why your doing it and I wouldn't expect anything less from you. lol

At the same time it would be great to not have traffic diverted to TW because of my contributions to that forum, I do think it's good to have the information I shared there because people will find it and be helped by it. I started our YouTube channel to help people. You can absolutely consider me a vindictive type of person. When I've been wronged, I want payback. To be tossed away so easily with the content I've created for the 1st Gen Tacoma and 3rd Gen 4runner platforms is a letdown. None of the knitting circle of haters on Tacoma World that were having a grand ol' time talking shit about me can touch the help I've given people through my videos. I went back on TW to see what those assholes had said about me after I got banned and it was pathetic. One idiot said him and his buddy used my engine swap series to do an engine swap, but after I called that guy out for ripping off my content, he's not going to use my videos anymore. Ok sure, your loss buddy. I know what's out there in YouTube land. Nobody documents jobs like we do. That engine swap series was 4 days straight, sun up till way after sun down to film that for people to benefit from. Then it was probably 60 hours of editing to put those 4 videos together. They're only hurting themselves by not using our videos. It's so ridiculous. That's the mentality of the people criticizing me. I guess the most positive form of revenge I can deliver is to just keep creating helpful content for people to use and post that content on platforms I'm welcome at. TW will have my past work and thread posts living on their forum but my future contributions will live elsewhere. Like I said, I didn't lose anything other than be subjected to some humiliation at the hands of a bunch of mostly haters. Some said they were fans and now aren't because of what I said, and that's their choice. I think it's a stupid choice, because I know very few people document jobs like we do. So, even though they claim they won't use our stuff, something tells me they still will if the need arises.

I like that this forum is filled with people who have been banned form TW. I landed in the right place. I hope my contributions here help increase the membership and activity. Thanks for having me.

Not trying to be a ass but I am not really clear why ur so upset with someone putting ur videos into a written forum... (to be clear I haven't seen ur videos or read anything the other person wrote) here's why, the information ur providing is not proprietary, U and others taking time to put repair info in a video format is very helpful and gives people access to DIY repairs and understanding but u r taking repair procedures manufactures provide to company's like alldata Mitchell and others. The repair process is the repair process, and putting it in video format while helpful to many people (which u understanding a market for said is great and the time you and others put into said should be rewarded), the person that then put ur videos into a written format is just putting the repair info back into what manufactures have already provided to the market...

again not trying to attack or diminish the work u and others have done
