I’ve literally overheated black and decker I mean Dewalt ( same shit ) to where the top part melted off and was hanging by the 2 wires to the motor only

Actually, Stanley owns both companies. Different product lines. lol

I've had a Milwaukee drill burn up, I mean catch fire, while using it. I've had my Milwaukee sawzall break 3 times in a year. I've had 2 Milwaukee batteries go bad within a year. That was all in the year I used them before I ditched them to go back to DeWalt.

In 15 years of using DeWalt I've had one isawzall that needed to be repaired. It fell 30 feet from a roof. Into a elevator shaft with 3 inches of water in it. The battery and blade both ejected on impact. It took me about 3 minutes to get off the roof and get it out of the water. I let it dry for a day and used it for 2 more months before the corrosion finally made it give up the ghost. It was about 6 years old at that point. I sent it back to DeWalt for service. They returned a brand new model to me 3 days later. Total bill? 34 dollars.

Like I said in my other posts, they are both good companies that make good tools. I've had much better experience with DeWalt though.

Those are straight so you can reverse the direction by flipping it over. The angled ones have a little switch to reverse the ratchet. Or there’s those flex heads. Which probably cost a bit more.

On a side note, is gear wrench a higher end brand? I always saw them on the discount table and their prices seem lower than craftsman stuff so I assumed it’s a budget line :noidea:
I'd say it's a mid-grade product. Somewhere between the big names (Snap-On, Matco, etc) and the cheap brands (Craftsman, Harbor Freight, etc).
Gearwrench is owned by Apex Tools, which owns tons of different companies in all sorts of industries.

That being said, I've only owned a few Gearwrench tools, but I feel like they are MUCH higher quality than Craftsman tools.

Anyone have a pressure washer? I'm trying to pick one up with car washing and general home exterior cleaning. More than likely gas powered because the driveway is pretty big. Costco offers a Powerstroke brand with a Honda engine. I was looking at Generac as well. I have read that the vertical shaft engines don't last as long but there was no real evidence as to why.

I have the older model but mine has been running strong for 4-5 years.

Think this is the one I have although I could swear mine was 3100 psi. I'll have to look when I get home. Does a pretty good job though. I've cleaned most of the exterior of the house, the patio and side walkway in the back yard, and all of the cars with it. I suggest getting one that has the soap container attached to it though. Would make life easier. I have to run a tube into a container for it to pull soap from.

I'm limited to 2.5 gallons per minute because of a CR Spotless deionizer. Both of these would work though.

I have a little harbor freight one for my shop and so far no complaints, but I don't think that's the level of cleaning you're wanting :D

Yeah probably not. My aunt makes a 5 point turn in the driveway because it dumps out into a main street and she can't drive. . All that tire turning marks up the driveway but somehow it's my fault.

I bought a forklift for $500, from the sounds of it that might be a better purchase ;)

It would be put to better use by driving through the house with it. It needs everything redone. See those weather control devices (sandbags) in front of the garage door? The unlicensed guy that did the driveway said he would slope it slightly so it would drain into the street but it doesn't and when I suggested adding a drain there he said it wasn't needed. My uncle is too cheap to have gutters installed.
