So the 4Runner has been driven 1-2 times a week since getting the Tacoma a couple months ago. Battery was dead the other day so knowing I might run across this issue more often I picked up a Noco GB50 jump pack. These things are awesome! Started up instantly with no hesitation. Definitely recommend getting one if you don’t have something similar. I might get a second one to have in both vehicles now so I don’t get caught without it once I leave home.

Dude I fucking LOVE mine. Used it 3 times on the tacoma and fired up right away. Jumped a few rando's with it too who had a dead battery, so much better than jumper cables.

Cheap insurance. Have one in every vehicle.

Anyone else buy several groups of these little flashlights at Costco years ago... nice little lights, but the big problem was that stupid 3xAAA holder.

I recently converted all of mine to Li-ion rechargeable (because they were just taking up space in drawer after the holder broke or a battery exploded dissolving it).

I placed little felt spacers inside the light to take up the gap because the 18500 is a bit smaller in diameter than the AAA carrier and it works like a dream. Used these batteries: https://a.co/d/burXYQp

All things being equal the Li-ion is 5.92Wh vs the original's combination is 5.4Wh, so you get more lifetime in a rechargeable setup. I don't have a handy Lux meter or the time to break the illuminator down to determine required voltage vs delivered, but the lights appear equally bright.

Thought you might find it useful.

I want to restore this old glider bench- it’s from the 1950’s I think and still relatively solid.

Obviously the rust needs to be dealt with before painting.

I would like to get it right the first time.

Any suggestions?
