Anyone got 56" US General box that could measure the wheelbase, center to center, for me? I have 56" of flat space before a ledge that I'm hoping I can squeeze one into.

If I think about it when I get home I will. I'm sure it will fit, the casters are inset a little. Great box. My only "complaint" is the drawer release is only on the right side of the drawer but not that big of an issue.

what assburns said. I’ve been in the same boat for a few years. I just can’t pull the trigger. I have a porta band and love it. My only complaint is cutting angles.

I’ve eyeballed that a few times. Let us know how you like it.
I was debating that or a horizontal band saw. I am leaning more towards the band saw but they just take up so much more room.
Had a horizontal band saw for years.
Blades tend to dull rather quickly and then the cut quality suffers, especially at angles. But it's not a high quality or high capacity machine either. Higher tension and coolant would no doubt help.
Going to be using the new saw for current project so I will see how it does and report back.

Tricky angles I end up using a cutting wheel anyway, but my portaband gets used occasionally.

who's used milwuakees rotary tool? Do they truly burn out? Better off with a corded Dremel?

also Milwaukee 3/8" stubby M12 vs 1/2" M18?

thoughts ????

Have that the rotary tool for a few years. Never ran it more than a few minutes at a time, but it still works.
M12 stubby and M18 are different animals. I have the 1/2" M12 and both mid torque and high torque M18.
It's like asking which is better, a finish hammer, framer, or sledge. All depends on what you need it for.

Hers my line up that I just made my work buy for me. No complaints at all. The m18 1/2 inch impact hasn’t found a bolt it can’t break loose. The 3/8 impact is small enough and strong enough for almost everything else. Wish the 3/8 ratchet was a little slimmer like the snap on ones we also have available.

So, after making 50+ cuts with this saw on everything from some 11 gauge square tube to1/2" plate and even a piece of 1-3/4" chromo tube I only have one word. Wow.
Kicking myself in the ass for not buying it sooner. Cut quality is phenomenal. Angle cuts are accurate. Quick adjust fence and work clamp are huge time savers. I definitely cannot recommend this saw enough.
