M12 ratchets are on my list.
And that M12 Surge is unreal. Supposedly the same torque as my M18 version. Plumber has one. I tried it. Certainly seems like it. The Surge is not meant to be a torque fiend though. I still use my regular impact for lags and Ledger-Loks

The M18 Surge is an absolute torque monster. I actually had to use my less-powerful DeWalt on some bulkhead furring, because the Milwaukee would blast the #10 head screws through a 2x6 before the screw could pull the furring in tight to the framing.

Yeah.

How's that compared to a pneumatic version?
Fuck load quieter and way more mobile. Just a bit heavier than pneumatic.
I will probably never use my pneumatic again unless I deplete all my batteries and still need to use one.

That's a strong endorsement. I should look into one, getting unteathered and quiet would be nice.

Should have just gone with Milwaukee. Say what you want you cant beat their warranty.

2/5/20
2 year hassle free replacement
5 year wear and tear replacement
20 year guarantee that if you bring it in, they can repair it for half the cost of purchasing the tool, or they replace it for free.

The 2 year hassle free has covered things like "hey, I uh, I ran this over with a zoomboom", or "yeah we might have dropped it 30 feet".

Sounds like the comprehensive warranty I get from Zebra/Intermec. Shorter term obviously.. but they told me the only thing they've ever refused to repair was a scanner put through a 747 turbine engine.

Ever wonder what 7g looks like in tools?

My friend started replacing his stolen tools.
Chargers and batteries to match this bring the total to 7g.

Round two starts next week.
I don't think I have ever used a Hilti tool. Are they really worth THAT much? I like that they don't look flashy like some of the other brands out there. Just super simple; and hopefully strong and reliable.

The short answer is yes, they are just that good.

The long answer is a LONG answer.

Milwaukee decided they were gonna be the biggest tool maker.

Corners have had to be cut to achieve that.
