It's a product of a lot of things, but currently it's desert season which means lots of fast mobbing. In a couple months it's mountain season, so more 4wd stuff. I have a very heavy front end.

Fair points. Why is the front end so heavy? Isn't the engine all aluminum and shit? Or is it that you've added bumper and winch and whatnot?

I mean maybe we just wheel harder down here? Shit my last street/trail toys I wouldn't align them even bother balancing tires....
It's very possible you guys simply have shit that hurts more. Again, most of my stuff is playing in the sand and the mud. Tree roots are more common than rocks unless I head up north a bit. And then it isn't shit like rockslides, it's bedrock that's the size of a house attached to another bedrock that's the size of a bus.

Steel bumper, winch with steel cable, dual batteries, 35" tires on a rig built for 31s, soccer games, and the mall.

Oh I'm sure mine are all out of balance right now. I'll usually still drive if it tracks straight regardless of steering wheel position, but right now my passenger camber is at 1.5, so I might have bent something last time out. Need to fix the Jettas gas tank this weekend so I can get it out of my way and throw the runner up on stands.
I think I know exactly where that happened. @Mike_taco4x4 might remember

Oh, I'm 99% positive that's where it happened. nothing looks bent just glancing under but I haven't pulled the wheels yet. If the rain holds off I'll try aligning it this weekend. If it doesn't align, something's bent.

Fuck Jetta's. Over engineered fucking nightmares.

I had a similar plan. The rear driver door actuator broke on the Jetta so I can't close the door. The plan was simple. Clean the garage. Fix the Jetta. Work on rig.

It took me 2 hours just to access the damn actuator. The whole door panel and inner skin need to come off. Then the window needs to be removed including the track. Then the you need to swap old parts from the actuator over to the new actuator. Then you put it back together and the new actuator doesn't work with the can-bus. Fuck this car.

I returned the actuator and will get a new one Tuesday. I'll work on the rig today and it will be 1000x more fun and rewarding. lol

Mine was a tad more simple, but I have had to fix the actuator in the driver door so it would latch when closed. I'm about over this car. Gonna put some diesel in it shortly and see if my gas tank fix holds, then seriously start thinking about selling it.

One of my employees wants to buy the runner for 5k so I gave it a drive to fill it up for tomorrow. Now I dont think I can bring myself to sell it. Goddammit I should have just had him pick it up.

Acehardware.com is running a promo where you buy a tool only milwaukee fuel and you get a free 5ah battery. Picked up a sawzall with the battery for $215 otd after picking up at my store.

Usually Homeless Despot around Christmas is the milwaukee deal hub for me, but Ace came through. Not an insane deal, but I like supporting my store as much as I can, they have a great crew and selection.

Ace hardware can fuck off. Their pricing up here is horrendous.

Prime Fasteners is the tools hub here.
3/8 Milwaukee 12v ratchet. 85CAD (like 60 freedumbs) with a free 6.0 12v battery.
Carbide hole hawg set. Regular 450CAD, 159 with a free packout kit and shirt.

Took alotta self control (ALOTTA self control) to not go hog wild there.

Picked up a new brushless 3 speed 1/4” Ryobi impact this weekend. I have an old Dewalt impact but the batteries are shot and it’s pretty worn out. Keeping it as a second impact for larger projects. It was nice having the driver bit on one and a countersunk drill bit on the other. Made quick work of making new floors on the kids playhouse out of 1”x 3” boards.
Also got one of those propane torches to clear some weeds and overgrown random grass spots. We’ll see how well it works in a couple days when the weeds start to die.

Like a tiger torch?
It'll work fucking amazing. Just don't set yourself on fire.

With the DeWalt, if it's an 18v you can get a 30 dollar adapter to go to a DeWalt 20V lithium battery, or, if you like NiCad, you can take them to a DeWalt dealer for recycling, and get a new battery for a bit less.
