Ace hardware can fuck off. Their pricing up here is horrendous.

Prime Fasteners is the tools hub here.
3/8 Milwaukee 12v ratchet. 85CAD (like 60 freedumbs) with a free 6.0 12v battery.
Carbide hole hawg set. Regular 450CAD, 159 with a free packout kit and shirt.

Took alotta self control (ALOTTA self control) to not go hog wild there.

Believe me I know their pricing is high, worked there for 6 years. I was surprised they had a big box store-esque deal for the higher end power tools, usually they’re just pushing the new crapsmen

worked there? I grew up in one. my dad had a hardware store for almost 20yrs. I still remember some of the sku's.

The conventions we're always fun. Met Lyle alzado and John Madden. The milfuckee booth was always rad. I think my brother might have the red Milwaukee baseball bat they had as a promo.

Think I'm going to be looking online for a press accessory kit. 200 bucks for 6 pieces of steel is a little crazy to me.

Or I'll make a set. Don't know. I know this press has been a ridiculously good purchase. Particularly that it is small enough to be mobile enough where it can get unbolted from a bench and go inside in my basement should I require it.

Like a tiger torch?
It'll work fucking amazing. Just don't set yourself on fire.

With the DeWalt, if it's an 18v you can get a 30 dollar adapter to go to a DeWalt 20V lithium battery, or, if you like NiCad, you can take them to a DeWalt dealer for recycling, and get a new battery for a bit less.
Yeah like a Tiger Torch. Different brand but same idea. Good to hear it will work well. I went around the yard and had my wife hanging out outside, so I had her sit there with a hose ready in case I did something stupid. lol

Honestly the only reason I haven't done that yet is I don't really want to mess with a bunch of different batteries and chargers. I like the idea of going 20v lithium, but having mixed tools/batteries gets annoying. Good to know about the batteries. I wish I knew that a long time ago. I've tossed a few dead batteries in the trash already. I think I still have 1 or 2 dead ones laying around and only 1 good one left.

Different batteries and chargers is only a pain if you are still using the old batteries.

Getting the adapters and going to a new battery and charger setup only adds the adapter, which should never theoretically leave the tool anyway.

Someone stole my hf jack out of my carport at some point in the last week. Just notice it yesterday when I went to grab it. Honestly never thought anyone would really steal a schmoo covered, used $80 jack, but guess I was wrong haha

Jokes on them, it was leaking oil so it doesn't even work that well, just hadn't hadn't decided if I was going to fix/replace it. Hope it pissed oil all over them as they lugged that heavy fucker away.

Gonna go grab another this week hopefully, figure I'll try out the new Series 2 red ones. Also not going to be lazy and actually lug it back to the shed and put it away this go around

Amen. Always spend triple what I plan on every time I go into that fucking place.
Been eyeballing that long reach jack myself. Had a coupon for $177 and still didn't go get it

They have a shallow 3 ton jack that I've had for almost 10 years. Heavy as fuck and I lost half the handle but she has been solid. Sand and dirt haven't fucked it up either.
One thing they make well is jacks. My oldest one from there is probably 25 years old.
My buddy still has a 20 ton bearing press from 1988. Fucker still works and doesn't even leak.

Yea...just like Kirkland, Rugged Radios, Best Buy etc.. they get "spec" models usually. Best buy has Samsung TVs you can only get at Best Buy. Kirkland doesnt have any products either etc etc. The Pittsburgh and Chicago Harbor Frieght brands are hit or miss. Whoever makes their big jacks is definitely better quality than the smaller but massively popular blue and chrome ones.

I have that one and love it. Very happy I spent the extra money on it.
Only bummer is it’s heavy as fuck so it stays in the garage. I’d like to get an aluminum jack at some point just so I have something to take places if needed

I have the aluminum. And that will be my plan also, keep the heavy bitch in the garage.
