Taking mine in today.get it? wow that's...scary.
Um yeah. Like what’s keeping you ?? Got to go check mine , thank ya, wouldn’t know otherwise. Can I trust that this is true?, came from the INTERNET,yikes, where’s my woobie.I need to post a pick of my jack stand extensions that I made.
These wouldn’t be to hard, but I’m going to start with drill holes in my current stands’ head to match the pawl catch and put a pin through. I bought my stands years ago at a 2nd hand tool dealer for $20. 3/16 hardens dowel should hold upwards of 40000lbs shear. I’m truly thinking of building a stand for my vehicles and just drive them onto Most everythingUgh, the simple things. How hard is it to make a jack stand?
Have the Big Red Torin and this was always my fear for any "budget" stand. They have a ton of slop and pawl has such little purchase as a result. I only got them because they have the safety lock pin otherwise it would have been a no-go.
Makes me want to ditch the set and replace them with Hein-Werners. hawt and you know it.

Fab guys, could make your own and be a million times safer and less expensive than the pawled versions.
Yep, gotta take mine in. As many times as I've had vehicles on these over the past 4 years it's amazing I'm still alive. Runner has been up on all 4 multiple times with us cranking, banging, and smashing things.
what are you gonna swap to?
I got the last set that my local store had. I was ready to have a "I want my money back not store credit discussion because I need jack stands now not when you get them in stock". I am not impressed with the new ones as one of them the pawl keeps hanging up.Whatever new stands they currently have.

Iirc, the top plate is 1/4", bottom is 3/16", and the angle is 1-1/4" x 3/16". Pretty sure they can handle more weight than the jack stands.

6 ton on top of those would be crazy tall. My floor jack extension would need an extensionooh, I want some!
(but for my 6 ton jackstands, so my back doesn't hurt.)

I was just thinking of this song because the Rona is back
