I have heard that many brands are manufactured under the same roof just with different stamps/names.

I have a set of craftsman pro ratchet end wrenches and a set of gear wrench and they look pretty similar....

Anyone have one of the hazard fraught predator 3500w inverter generators?

I've heard mostly good things about them, just wondering if they actually measure up to claims about noise etc.

My other option at that price point is the champion open frame inverter generator.

Where do y’all get your carbide 10” table saw and 12” miter saw blades sharpened? I have over 20 high quality blades that need sharpened.

My 7-1/4” circular saw blades I just throw away and replace. My 10” and 12” blades are too high end to throw away.

Forrest is in NNJ iirc. I had to ship one of their blades back to them once.
I use Sharp Rite in Middlesex, but it's a bit of a haul for you unless you want to ship them.

Forrest did an amazing job on a bunch of blades my friend sent in. Snuck a 96T 12" and had a CMT blade into his order sharpened. Both cut better than a brand new (we tested). The forrest blade grew legs not long after. fucking scumbags.

Nice to see people talking about quality blades. Full kerf is the way to go for finish work. Last year I was doing stain grade white oak. The other guy on the job was using his saw and I was using mine. He couldn't figure out why his 45's on both miter and bevel just weren't tight. He checked his saw for true about 3 times. I just kept cutting and laughing. He finally came over and asked me to check his saw. I took out his Diablo blade and put in my spare Freud. One cut later and his mind was expanded. lol

For stain grade finish there are two that I use. Forest and Freud. Freud is a little bit better but you've got to be super anal to notice. lol

On another note, I hate mud and tape. I'm actually looking forward to painting which I also hate. Hoping to have the cabinets in by early next week.

Job hunt? More like head hunted. I haven't made a single call but got 3 from guys that know me and found out I wasn't working for my former employer. I told them all I'd call when I was ready to put my bags back on. I don't see going back to work as being an issue when I'm ready. lol

For now I'm working on my own kitchen and collecting. I'll probably start making those calls in 2 weeks. I'm really enjoying the kitchen though. The wife is stoked and it's going awesome to have a well thought out functional kitchen when I'm done. All I need to do is finish the fucking drywall mud and tape. Did I mention I hate that shit?

Try cutting large handrails in red oak/white oak/brazilian cherry/etc.
Full kerf is the only way. Actually owned only one Forrest blade. Had an issue with cut quality on one side of the blade. Sent it back to them with a sample piece of white oak showing fence orientation. Get the blade back from them saying it was my saw when it was obvious that the blade was mis sharpened one one side. Sent it back again with a sample cut from a different blade proving it wasn't my saw, as well as marking the fucked up teeth one the blade with a sharpie.
Get it back again and guess what......
Ended up sending it my sharpening guy with the rest of my blades and it actually came back fixed.

And mud sucks. And I am going to be doing that next week on a bathroom reno.....

Can you guys recommend a decent Quality multimeter?
My harbor freight one is starting to show its age and overall fragility.

I wouldn’t be afraid of any of the Kleins from HD. Durable case. I have a Fluke 87, but I had money to spend at the time.

Thanks for the recommendation.

I picked up the Klein Auto ranging model at HD.

I looked at the Fluke and the Klein and this seems to have same functionality at half the price of a Fluke.
