WTF? Really? What's next? A body lift? lol
You guys are funny. Next stop on the slippery slope is an RTT.
Then you will be one of the cool kids like me.

I know the feeling. My core support is starting to crumble and I'm getting some rubbing now. I need to completely cut out the inner fenders and an engine cage now.You have a fridge too? That and an RTT seem to be all the rage. Cold beer and a place to sleep doesn't need to be that fucking complicated. lol
Don't tell @AssBurns but I'm about 30 seconds away from ordering a 1/2" body lift. lol
This tubbing without one shit sucks.

At that point, you gotta decide what the effort/cost/time trade-offs are. With only 1/2" BL, you won't notice any real gap in the bumpers. Plus it may save a ton of extra work in the fender wellsI went really big on the tub but I know it's still gonna rub. I can't go any bigger without fully redoing the fender wells in the engine bay. But I can throw on a 1/2" BL and be good. I've been debating it for a few days. Part of me wants to cave in to the easy way and the other part wants to be a head strong dipshit. It's gonna come down to a coin toss. lol

Pretty much. Why keep lifting the rig higher when you can just keep cutting and achieve the same thing without more lift? Can I be the retard in the back of the room that raises his hand?
Why are BLs avoided so religiously? Center of gravity?
counterpoint: if a BL allows you to run the equivalent reduction in suspension lift without affecting your articulation, you've actually improved your CoG. (the frame & driveline are the heavy parts.) Plus improved front CV stress, all things being equal.
ALSO - if you compare the body mounts on 3rd and 4th gen (and the body to frame gap) - you can see where Toyota built a BL into the mounts on the 4th gen; likely for the same reasons.

Yup - fridge too. I like my fridge better than my RTT. And I have .... a roof rack .....
Maybe I need an intervention of some kind.
Maybe I need a better paying job. Lol

I guess it depends on how you are comparing. You gotta consider your ground clearance too. Having a 2" suspension lift and 1" BL, helps with tire clearance and has a lower COG than a 3" suspension lift, but a 3" suspension lift has more belly clearance. BUT if you compare apples to apples, then a 2" suspension lift without a BL will have the same ground clearance as a 2"+1", but will have an even lower COG.counterpoint: if a BL allows you to run the equivalent reduction in suspension lift without affecting your articulation, you've actually improved your CoG. and don't mind hacking into my rig.
except tank, except transfer case, yada yada..
guess what's also really doable with a 1" BL? (rhymes with bat flelly)
After the cutting I just did I think a 1/2" is all I will need. My bellies pretty damn flat with Savage skids. I just need to get the gas tank relocated(eventually) and there's not much to hang up on under my rig. Except that damn diff which even a fat blelly won't fix. lol
