That's the plan well see how far that gets lol. It was really awesome to see everyone come together with one goal and that was to get someone else truck out of there. We ran in to a group of jeepers out there that didn't want to leave till they knew we were out of the trail or had a plan to get out which was awesome due to the fact they were from phoenix not tucson so to know there still people willing to do whatever to help out a fellow wheeler is awesome. I was stuck in a place called rail X for 5 hours a long time ago cause a truck didn't want to get muddy to pull me out and drove off, I lost faith at that point until this weekend. But I have my 07 fj 4rd member sitting in my passagner seat ready to go when I find some time WHOOP WHOOP. just need to head to phoenix when I have something running and grab them icons lol.

If I had service everyone would have know about the fun right when it happened lol but lucky I had @05tacomabro and @Rat_Bastard that didn't even hesitate to volunteer to grab parts and supplies and come back to camp with me so I didn't have to solo it. Good Friends.
Was a pleasure to help out brother! You made me proud! You kept a cool head the whole time and we all worked together. I was glad we got your front wheel drive going because I don't think I could have pulled you up that fucking hill. With the rear diff locking up it was still a struggle but the black Dahlia went beast mode! She's a good old girl and keeps on surprising me even after over 10 yrs with her! Rebuild process will be fun!

I have been setting up the pick up with Connor. I'll take care of that you just keep working to fix the runner.
Thanks Duke that, for sure helps. I was stressing to figure out how I was going to pull that off with a blown up truck.

:AMEN::ibtl::rockon::evilgrin::flamethrow::usa2::usa: Can not wait. I think friday or sat I might pull the rear end off the truck so I can start breaking in to it. I feel like I should probably break alot of the bolts loose wail the axle is on the truck then take it off but I'll figure it out when I start the fun.

Don't take the whole axle off if you don't have to, it's a major pain in the ass to get everything set back right. Especially that fucking ebrake. The 3rd member bolts are only torqued to 14 lbs so they should break pretty easily. Just hit them with some pb blaster if they're rusty/dirty. Drain the gear oil, drop the drive shaft, pull the axle shafts an inch or so out (You don't need to disconnect the brake lines, just the ebrake brackets), and drop the 3rd member out. It's really not that bad of a job. Most of the chunks should still be in the housing and not in the sides. I sprayed mine out with brake cleaner. The front sucks balls.

Fucking glad the front didn't blow up on this trip lol. That really doesn't sounds too bad. I figure I would take the whole axle off to clean it up but I can see the what your saying about lining it back up when all said and done. Good news, bad news my ebrake is fucked due to some people driving my truck with it on but I'm not worried cause im not fixing it unless a toyota tech wants to do it for free due to some story's I heard from you lol.

I was hearing some bad clunking coming from the rear (obviously broken teeth) so I'm kinda worried the half shafts are fucked too. How did yours look when you pulled it.

The half shafts were fine. Once you drop the 3rd out you can slide them back in and get a good look at them inside the housing. If those are fucked up you have to deal with the ebrake anyway and might as well do seals while you're at it. I kinda regret not doing seals but I hate not having 2 working vehicles so I wanted everything back together as soon as possible.

**Cough**Jetta**cough**

If the Jetta had been running, the 4runner would have sat longer. My mom borrows my Tacoma once in awhile because her car is falling apart so I try to keep at least 2 working at the same time. I'll probably be working on the Jetta this weekend since the kid is gonna be at his mom's. I've got high hopes for that pile of shit unless the turbo is actually crapped out, because that's about all that's left once I get the timing fixed.

Thanks for the tips man. Can't wait to start the rebuild. I really hope I don't have to fuck with the E brake doesn't sound fun or at all easy to get done.

For sure, hit me up if you have any issues getting anything apart/back together. I've had my 3rd member out multiple times and I've gotta yank it again since my locker isn't working.

It will still run fine without a turbo. You'll just have no power. The turbo's currently out on mine and I still have perfect timing and get 48 MPG. It sucks because it was a fun car to drive. Now it's barely fucking tolerable to drive. I've looked into rebuilding the turbo and it's a very delicate job. I'll just get another junkyard turbo and throw that in after I'm done with the other 47 things in front of it. lol

Oh yeah, I was driving it around town while it was in limp mode with no boost. It sucked. A lot. Id never make it up the hill on the route I take to/from work. Hahaha. There's a place I found online, like 700 for a brand new turbo, but I think if I'm gonna go that route I'm gonna start saving for the chip, nozzles, and upgraded turbo so I can crank 200 hp out of this bitch and still get 50 mpg.

Majority of the forum right now is AZ and so cal. Hahaha. Gotta keep the threads alive!
Dude this is the one forum left without nannies flagging folks, I don’t post anything that bad. I just hate the idiot posters and the big brother mods, that make productive threads die from wholesomeness or vulgarities that force the hand. Thanks y’all hopefully we’re here for many years

It has to be here for years because it's not censored. So far no one here has had any issue with anything posted or said. When the cry babies come over here they won't be able to cry to the mods and silence the woices of reason. They will just have to go complain to their moms that someone was mean to them. All the other forms will just be about "how big a tire can I fit with no lift" for the 10,000 time.

It's really amazing how well things flow and work when you have a forum for wheelers and the owners actually wheel. We've even had some random political and religion trashing that, not surprising, didn't become a shitfest because we're all fucking adults. I feel like there's a certain level of maturity, regardless of age, when you're willing to trash your rig on a trail and accept responsibility for anything that may happen. That maturity helps keep things civil.

A lesson will be tough today. "you gonna learn something today ".
This morning I am driving to get an alignment on my sons 2000 pre runner. We are selling it and I removed the All Pro A arms last night (froze my ass off). A few days ago we removed the sub box and under seat amps that we installed for the system. My son removed the driver seat and installed it. As I am driving today every time I hit the brakes (clunk) every time I accelerate (clunk). I check the bolts and 2 are cross threaded but not tightened all the way down. Hopefully I can thread them in properly or I should say he as in my boy. As soon as I get done with the alignment I am rushing home and waking his ass up to fix it. If he can't do it then his ass will be driving a Civic and @05tacomabro is getting a nice bumper.:mad::mad::doh:

Got up and fixed it without a peep. Kid knows better than to prod the bear when he is pissed. Sorry bro no bumper.
I'll wait.... I'll keep wheeling the plastic factory shit. It has more "give" on the Rocks anyways! Fuckers been hit on the rocks so many times now it doesn't matter, most of my factory plastic clips have been replaced with bolts and nuts and when I finally purchase steel it will most likely be trail gear. I love tube work and can't stand most of the plate bumpers anyways.
