Yup!!! It was me!!!!

Sheared the lower ball joint bolts off the passenger side suspension. Called @Rat_Bastard at like 9pm and he left the restaurant he was at and headed out to get me (Im sure his girl hates me...). My location was tricky because I'm more of an explorer and I like to wonder... So I do what I do and wondered a few miles off the main trail down a narrow wash and this is the first break happened. Brian ended up passing my location and wasn't able to back track down the trail (it was raining and SLICK) so he thought driving the rest of the gap (4+ hours) was going to be his only way out. His plan was to finish the gap and come around to my side of the trail again. In the process of running the trail he found a ledge...

So at this point I slept in my truck. Brian ended up getting a hold of @chucklefunkk early the next morning and he drove out to help Brian with his recovery. The Air force of all people shows up at Brian's location and recovers his truck and get him back on the road. Brian and Chuck then drive all the way around to the other end of the Gap to pick me up.

Yes, Brian after rolling his truck still completed the mission! YOUR MY BOY BLUE!!! AND who knows what Chuck was thinking at this point after hearing all the carnage on my truck and Brians. Chuck's like "Hell yeah I'll go". Fucking lunatic friends I have and I love them!!! I had to leave my truck on the trail until I could get parts. Brian and Chuck got me and my friend Dennis (who was with me for all of this) home and we were able to pickup all the parts I needed to fix my truck.

This is where @Brindybot came in and gave me a ride back out to my truck. Jonny is a damn Ninja, Seriously! Anyone who knows Jonny can attest. This guy is seriously a Ninja on the trail and we got to my truck without a problem and had fun doing it!! We got the passenger side suspension back together and still had a few hours left in the day so we took our time on the way out and hit every obstacle and feature on the Oracle side of the Gap.

Thank you to all of my friends for giving 2 shits and making sure my dumbass isn't still out on the trail. I am very fortunate to have got to know all of you and I cant wait to get out and 3-wheel the trails with you all Soon!!

When is the next trail run???

from what I know which isn't a lot actually, but it sounds like his passenger side lower Ball Joint bolts sheared and he was going to try and extract the Broken bolts from the hub/spindle. If that didn't work I believe that he found a spare hub/spindle to swap in to get back out. Unfortunately I've been slammed at work and haven't been able to get out to help. It is a medium hard trail that he in on, and He is pretty far in and so there is no fast way to get to him. If it comes to to I I will pull the spindle off of my 2000 and take it out to get him out on Sunday.

Goddamn that's a mission. Glad it all worked out for everyone involved. Definitely shows what an amazing community we've got here. Good job all.

@Plastics Guy and @Brindybot are both out. I'll let them tell the whole story. Jonny took Curtis out there this morning with parts and were able to get the truck out and home. Jonny even came over to my place after and helped me with more wrenching. Solid dude. Glad to know these guys and happy everyone's home and safe. :AMEN::banana:

What a crazy story and random list of events that happen over that day and half lol but I'm glad everyone is out and safe with there trucks as well. Always fun watching a trail recovery. it was a blast being able to lend a hand where I could but running the trail didn't hurt either. Who needs a locker thats hooked up.. not this guy lol

All three of my 4runner's I was lucky enough not to befit from a factory E locker so I'm so use to being open open. I'm scared I'll break more stuff once that locker is working lol but only one way to find out I guess haha
You will brake more stuff. With a locker without one on a bicycle on a tricycle. It's what you do Johnny.

Swapped the old ome’s back onto the prerunner, the GF doesn’t need Kings(despite what she says) Hopefully going to finish swapping the bumpers, tires, and shell this weekend

Need to order a new air intake tube, washer nozzles, new battery, plugs/wires, and shifter bushings then the 4x4 should be running like new and ready for some fun

Also need to deep clean the prerunner wheel wells, it doesn’t have to back to the mine ever again and drive through all those gross ass puddles anymore.

Anything from molybdenum dust, sodium hydrosulfide, lime, copper concentrate, probably alot of other crud in there. It's mostly the moly dust, but god damn that shit gets everywhere
Doesn't that mountain have sulfuric acis sprinkles on it?

I doubt it, while I bash our puddle problem after rains, it's mostly cause I'm driving through production areas. They are VERY environmentally conscious, especially with scrubbers and offgassing. You should see how much money/manpower we shell out to the retirees in Green Valley when we just have a dust event at the tailings dam.

I never liked going up there to switch out the RR cars.
