your selling the Zuk right?
Damn fool that is alot. I would just do what @Dukestaco suggested. I did plan on rebuidling mine but I don't plan on rebuilding mine anymore due to the amount of change going in to random things for the rear end but I wouldn't mind watching for the time I do mine. Who knows I'll probably do mine at the same time.
 good times!
Well good times cost $140 to reset the passenger side air bag sensor.
The plan for the zuk is to sell it but playing with it untill it does.

Yes I call my penis Zuk. Lol

Part of the reason it’s more was both shafts have a big scar on them. I didn’t think it’d be this much more though, i’m calling them in a minute to see what else the $900 includes. If I’m getting new rod ends, spring pearches, etc. then it might be worth it......might be. If it’s just the standard rebuild with new shafts for $900, I’ll try my hand at rebuilding them myself
Keep us posted.

lol So you weren't lieing about blowing your Zuk often lol. Damn 140 to reset the air bag light that's nuts. Time to open my next shop where we turn off air bag lights. How long have you been there I can't imagine it's that much of a process for them.

If the scars not too deep you can buff it out. If it is deep and you can dig it out clean it fill it with J-B weld and then sand and buff so it's flush. you want it to be smooth so it doesn't tear up the seal that's all you need it to do. It might be ghetto but it's damn cheaper than new shafts. Just my .02 ¢ on how to save ¢.02.

That quote is pretty crazy unless they're giving you a new shock body. There's nothing in a rebuild, including the shafts, that comes even close to that figure. Unless they're billing you at $150/hr and putting there slowest guy on it?

Just need a legit techstream cable and software to run it. Cost me almost 200 for the vagcom cable for my Jetta. I bought a cheap pirated techstream cable and couldn't get the software to work right.

Crawler is in the garage. Pulling the t case tomorrow. Are you free on Monday or only weekends.
Shit's getting real. Hopefully when you list the Zuke for 40k no one buys it and we can keep creating memories with it lol. I'm just pumped to see the taco, seeing it so close to being ready to slap together it gets me excited for that first trail run.
Just weekends now
That looks like a sturdy roof rack. the things that can be strap down now lol. But wait... are these going on the 4x4??????

@Captain Magma did you figure out what your doing with your Kings yet.

I went ahead with the rebuild, I talked with them quite a bit about it and based off how trashed they were I’d rather have them get rebuilt by someone well equipped and knowledgable. If it was just seals and fresh oil I would go for it myself.

I know it was definetly on the high side, but having the piece of mind that they were getting done correctly and not having them turn into a headache was worth it to me. Plus having them in town and easy to get ahold of makes it easy if there is an issue with the rebuild

The old man emu could have semi kept up.....2 years ago haha. I'm contemplating putting these kings on my current truck just to get some front end leveld again and stiffen up the ride to help with the drivability. Those nitrochargers and 881 springs are shells of their former selves

Also update on the 4x4: the future bro in law wanted to pay it down some more before selling to me, he still owes like 12k on it. He did just get a job at Raytheon though and also said his plan was to put most of his tax return towards it to at least get it under 10k. I have a chunk o' change sitting on ice for when he is ready to go so it should be pretty quick once the time comes. I also have a growing parts pile sitting in my spare bedroom that the gf is starting to notice (and add up $$$) so that is helping speed things along haha

I always just tell my wife I got everything on a pro deal. If she had any clue how much money really went into my rig she'd probably take it in the divorce. lol

Ha ha. She's a great girl but let her know that all that complaining will not help her to achieve wifie status. Lol. She's a keeper .

As long as she doesn't mind the mods.

She really enjoys watching me get excited about this stuff and enjoys doing little things to her 4runner as well so I was having some fun at her expense haha. Plus she loves being outdoors and if something I do to my truck can take us further out there (like 4x4), she’s all about it
