This Sunday (2/28) at about 1pm I am planning to make a quick run into the Gap. Anybody want to join me. Gonna have my buddy with a new jeep who is still learning to wheel. We will meet at the Valero on Oracle and Rancho Vistoso. Most likely will only go to the first or second cattle guard then come back out. Just a little fun on a Sunday Afternoon.

I might be game to check out some new runs.

When do we start stripping the prerunners?????? Whats the first trail you wanna hit??? How exciting.

Not sure if I’ll be able to do it quickly, this weekend is the only free one I have in March. I need to order new rear suspension for it anyway so will probably do all the suspension when that get’s here. Then swap over the bumper and roof rack. Need to do Tundra brakes as well

I wanna do Chiva first, I have unfinished business from the Reddington clean up....

Heading out to SD on Saturday to pick it up

Sad Update:

Lookin like it’s gonna fall through, between my cold hard cash and the loan I’m still about 2.5k shy and the bank wont budge. I have a great credit score, but no long term payment/loan history so they are hesitent to go higher. Guess paying cash for everything in the past rather than taking out a loan finally caught up with me. Didn’t think it’d be this difficult to pull together, but hey now I know...

Sometimes it’s just not meant to be :(

Can you work out a deal with the guy that is selling you the truck on the side. Change banks. You got to keep working it. Banks and credit card companies don't make money if you are a responsible adult.

I deal with this a lot in my line of work. People think that because they have no debt, that getting credit will be easy, but in reality it makes things harder. If there is no history of credit usage, then what do we have to go off of to know how responsible you are with payments? If you want to build your credit quick, get at least 1 credit card and use it at least once a month for something small (ie; buy yourself lunch once a month, or fill your tank once a month) then pay the card in full when the bill comes in. Keep the balances low and easy to pay off so there isn't ever any interest to pay. I've had multiple folks do this for 6 months and increase their scores well over 50 points. Shit, even just having a credit card for a month can improve your scores by 20+ points in the right circumstance.

If credit age is the issue, then open a credit account ASAP to start building your credit age. Typically lenders want to see at least 3 open accounts and at least 1 year of credit history on at least 1 of those accounts.

my girls was in this boat. She had zero credit when we got married, when we got our rings we put under her name w/ me co-signing and told her we'll pay extra when the bill's come for a few months then pay it all off. Did the same thing with a credit card and with her truck.....5yrs later her credit is way better than mine.
