This is a personal build thread and not a shop vehicle for once
After trading off my 99 4runner last year, i've kinda missed having a midsize to wheel (i'm a foolsize guy).
So enters my wife's daily driver ... bone stock 2016 TRD Pro.
I've taken it offroad a few times over the years, but with it being her daily I've not hit anything excessive with it. I dont baby it, but until recently we've not had a good enough daily for her incase I broke it on a trip. We now have a two new trucks under warranty, so i'm less worried about breaking shit.
We're at 50K miles on the 4Runner now and it's going to be time soon for new tires. Wife is wanting bigger tires, so who am I to say no?
Plans for he build:
2.5-3" lift, extended travel in the rear (still researching)
Full skids
Rock sliders
Lo pro front bumper for a winch
Body mount chop
255/80R17 Cooper Discover ST Maxx
Some bracing form @eimkeith
Wife and I both love the look of a stock 5th gen. Not big fans of the large full bumper replacements on the market anyhow. While i'll be wheeling it, it's still a daily for the wife for now (Bronco reserved, I just have to convince her to buy it ) so keeping it as light as possible if key.
Now, it's time to bust out the credit cards and buy some cool stuff.
