Cool beans! Pretty stoked for this if I can pull it off. @4runner DOA, lets plan a day for your links. When will you get the new CORRECT joints?

IDK what happened to Kyle. He said he had to take off to Utah for an emergency trip. No idea what that entailed though.

There's only two weekends to do the links before this trip. One would be this weekend if I had the correct left hand joints, the other would be Easter weekend. So dunno. I've gotta pay bills with this current check and I'm still waiting on my refund for the wrong ends. If my fucking EDD card would show up I'd have an extra 400, but I can't make an account to transfer the money until the card shows up.

@Hank has been posting stuff on IG running around with his dog, but no word on when he's coming back to California.

@AssBurns if you wanna start working on them though I can bring the RH ends and both sets of bungs out to you early Friday. We just need to go maybe another inch in length over stock length. The rod ends should do the rest.

I can do that. Do you have the correct bungs at least? I should be able to do it all with in one rod end

I've sent Kyle a couple messages here and there but haven't heard anything back. Sounded like it was some kind if family emergency going down. Probably taking a break from the BS like Mike did several months ago.

Mental breakdown. He finally realized how much he was beating up a brand new truck.

:noidea: Salvage title, the front passenger side of the frame is twisted up and has some other welding issues at the cross members. I wouldn't shy away from beating on it either.

Houston we have a problem.

I decided to go pre-run some of the proposed route today. Good news if the snow line is above 8500' feet on the south slopes and not much further down on the north slopes. The bad news is the route I wanted to connect isn't going to go. There may be another road that connects but it's also a long shot. The Inyo National Forest Atlas shows both roads connecting to White Mt road. One for sure doesn't.

This is what my proposed route ended up looking like.

About 40 yards after the large dead tree I was planning on cutting up you get to this v-notch. About 7 feet tall and very doable.

After that this is what the "trail" looks like. Basically there isn't one. lol

Here's a BCnav screen shot. That black line is White Mtn Road. It's within a 1/2 mile but the time it would take to make that trail passable again may not be worth it. lol

My guess is you forsure didn’t hike more than you needed to, so we really don’t know what’s around that second corner. I kinda wanna say let’s just got for it and see how far we can go.

Bring a chainsaw. There's another route that's not far away we could detour to as well. There's plenty of things to do if it doesn't go. And no, I didn't walk more than 50 yards. lol

Are you coming up Friday night?
I don't own a chainsaw. I hire people to do that stuff haha

If I can pull it off, yes it will be Friday night.

Someone you know owns a chainsaw. We will need at least one more. All I have is my little DeWalt 20v with a 12" bar. Either way, that treed moving somehow.

Friday night works for me. My crew just started doing 4 10's so I won't be home till 630 or so.
I can probably borrow one from a buddy. He owns a couple Stihl chainsaws.

I won't be there till late anyways so, we should be good there. I need to fix this damn misfire again. Gonna just replace the coils and hope that solves it.

WTF is up with your rig? It's gotta be an electrical connection that's loose. Get that shit fixed. I'm off to talk to a welder today to see if I can get my tire carrier beefed up. It's a local shop I've never dealt with so we'll see how that goes.

So, who is actually got a running rig and is committed to this? lol
No idea what the deal is. Picking up some new coils tonight. I really hope that's the problem. I already replaced the spark plug wires and boots with some new Denso ones. Could be a loose connection somewhere, but idk where. I finally got the codes for Random Multiple Cylinder and Cylinder 3 misfire, so I'll check the plugs and replace the coils tonight and see what the heck is going on.

Probably not. We're gonna wrap up my links tomorrow morning, but I still gotta pull my 3rd and I spent a whole lot more money in Palm springs than I meant to. Haha.
