It's what all the locals in Bishop and Mammoth call it. You can head to the Eureka Sand Dunes by "going the back way" If you make a left on highway168 and then a right into a dirt road a few miles down.Late March or early April should be good. Some of the snow's gotta melt for this to be fun.
@MonkeyProof I've never heard Silver Canyon to Wyman Canyon called the White Mtn Traverse. There is a a ski/hiking White Mountain Traverse but that actually traverses the range instead of cutting across it. I've done the trails you linked many times. It's fun but what I have in mind will be way more fun.
