Wheels with 35's

After I had to drill one of the studs on my BORA wheel spacers. the lug nut backed off about 1/8 inch and the stud started spinning. I have decided I'm going to ditch the spacers. I have no idea what I would have done to get the tire off if i was on the trail in the middle of nowhere.

I need some cheap 16x8 6x139.7 bolt pattern wheels with 3.5 to 4 inches of backspacing. I don't care what they look like as long as they're not chrome because I'm going to fuck them up first trip.

Anybody know if 4 inch backspacing clear the frame with 35's on a 2nd gen tacoma?

The cheapest I have found are these. Anybody have any cheaper or better?

You should be able to get these pretty cheap. It's probably what I'll end up getting for my Tacoma except in 17" so I can run the 295/70/17 Ridge Grapplers that are taking up space in my garage. Steelies are cheap but they are heavy.

I thought those where 3.75. So, yeah, don't get those. lol But do update this thread if you find cheapish wheels with 3.5 or 3.75 BS.

Level 8 makes the Impact which is 3.75 BS but it has a 112 hub bore. I've been looking for a week now and the only 3.5BS 106 hub wheels I've found are Method and SCS. I haven't been looking super hard though. lol

Found the one's you were talking about. These will work perfect if they fit over the front calipers

I'm not judging. I would love to have some SCS wheels
I just cant't bring myself to spend more than I need to when I'm saving for King's

I went through 2 sets before I dropped the coin on my scs. Bent shit on steelies left and right. Haven't had a single lip issue since I switched. Can always go vtx. They're a little cheaper.

@4runner DOA you can move this to the 2nd gen tacoma forum if you want. It is kind of vehicle specific

No it's not. I'm looking at the same BS in a different diameter for a 96 Taco and my 97 4Runner. lol

Also a heads up, 4wheelparts is having a buy 3 get 1 free deal on procomp rims right now.

Are all frames equal for back spacing? Might be a more 2nd gen/4th gen specific? I've never really paid that much attention to other vehicles and back spacing.

When it comes to larger tires it plays a roll in any gen. The larger the tire the further out it goes. The further out it goes the longer it's turning radius gets. That's why most guys running 35's or larger either have 3.5BS rims or they are running 1.25" spacers. Without it the wheel will hit the frame at lock.

Gotcha. I need to take my spacers off and see what I'm hitting. Might actually improve things since they're 3.5"
