Haha thanks man. And 105 ain’t anything. Been over 110 everyday these past 2 weeks. That’s the point I call it quits as the garage is normally around that same temp as well. Plus we have had a lot of humidity which doesn’t help considering i only know dry heat supposed to be low 100s this week. Hopefully next week I’ll get in the garage.

I'm dying at 30C. I'm drinking a 2 gallons of water in a day at that point. I'm miserable.

That's 85F. Y'all crazy bastards are like "Fucking bunnyhug weather out here, shit!" At 85

You merely adopted the heat, I was born in it, raised in it. I didn’t know a cool day until I was already a man

And I freeze under 65. Heat isn't bad, it's humidity that sucks balls.

Once it’s under 105 or less and as long as your in the shade it’s bearable. Can’t wait for the cool weather though.

Soo everyone likes pictures and because it’s neglected due to no a/c here’s some pictures of my 89 I got recently. Supposed to be daily but it’s to hot with the ac compressor being broken. Need to finish the Tacoma to do some maintenance on this and the dodge.
truck didn’t run when I got it. Gfs dad said he wanted it out of his yard in California and said I could have it. It wouldn’t start and the clutch had no pressure. went down and got it. Threw it on a battery charger and pumped the clutch a bunch and it came back to life. Set of new tires and it’s golden.

And with the new tires

If was in the same boat. Unfortunately I have a flat roof house and the conduit would look like shit running up and over the house. Instead I switched out the 4 plug to a 3 plug o the dryer and got a 25ft extension cord. Works like a charm.
I've said it before but it needs saying. Great build man.
I thought about that in my garage but fuck having to run an extension cord across the garage just to weld. Plus the dryer plug was only 30 amps, so that's a little low for a welder.
I am having my electrician come out this weekend and install a couple 240v plugs and another 4 LED "fluorescent" shop lights. Luckily I have just enough room to pull it off without a sub panel. At least that's what my electrician thinks he can pull off with just a little rearranging in the main panel. **fingers crossed**

Plasma and some other stuff I got here today. Waiting on one more package tomorrow. Only cut a few small things in 3/16 and 1/4 but for taking it out of the box and putting it together and not touching anything else, I’m impressed. Only downside I see is the ground clamp is super short. The torch is a little wonky with the button on top but it’ll just take some getting used to. Looking forward to cutting everything up now.

Only did a few long cuts and then cut everything super small but it’s accurate and easy to use.

Also ruffstuff is one of the best companies out there I’ve dealt with. Got their u bolt eliminators a while back for the new axle. While putting it all together a few eeeks ago I stripped the shit out of one of the eliminators. Closer inspection showed the weld flowed into the threads from them. Super minor and never would have noticed unless you put it all together. Sent them a message asking the tap size to re tap it. They asked what happened. I told. They refunded the money that day. Super stand up company and will have my money for time to come. So ordered a few things from them.

Hangers? 30 a pair.
U bolt eliminators? 70 a pair.

How's that plasma and what did it cost?

Ive looked at TMR's stuff but shipping kills most of it for me. I normally make my own brackets and everything else and if i don't i make templates and have my dad cut them. Theres just some things that are better to buy than make myself though.

Plasma is sweet. Took 5 minutes to hook up and cut 3/16 and 1/4 out of the box. Need to figure out the settings and get a steady hand lol. It was on sale for 600 plus 40 bucks shipping. Shipping sucked but its half the cost if not less of a miller or hypertherm and for what i do it should do just fine.

Jealous of the plasma. When I rebuild the welding cart, I’ll make a spot for a plasma to sit in. How much did the Everlast run you? I’ve honestly heard mostly good things about everlast, but it’s always been something that you don’t hear a lot about. I wish I could afford a hypertherm but damn they aren’t cheap.

Ruff Stuff is pretty awesome for tabs n little shit. Good prices, good quality and fast/cheap shipping.

TMR makes some nice stuff but now that makes sense as to why shipping isn’t as cheap as other places.

Torches are definitely something that is a skill to cut clean. For straight cuts, drag your arm towards your hip. That usually ends up making it easy for the cleanest and straightest cuts.

640 shipped with some spare consumables and a filter on the back. Ordered Tuesday was here Thursday. Can’t beat it.

Thanks. When I use to use my dads plasma I always tried to use a straight edge for cuts when possible. Just made them cleaner.

It'd be over 900 bucks for me. Exchange rate kills me. Didn't think of that.
And that buys me many parts.

Really depends on the person, sometimes I get better cuts pushing the torch, sometimes pulling is better. Once you get good at it, doesn’t really matter. Burning some 2” material today, felt like a pushing mood lol
