You made the diff armor? Looks super clean. Like it was laser cut exactly for that diff.
I mean I made paper templates and then had my dad cut them on a plasma table them bent them in a finger brake. Not bad I thought haha thanks beat paying the 90 bucks or whatever ruffstuff wanted for theres

Been lacking motivation lately but did get the axle done last weekend. Going to double check measurements tonight and probably drop the axle off tomorrow. Welded on the pinch bolts and frame is ready for paint. Time to tear the interior apart. Bump stop welds look like shit but oh well.

Assuming they are not beadlocks for that price?
Very tempting since I need some 17" wheels, but I really want a narrower wheel than 9". Hmmm...

Left that part out on it haha. Not real deadlocks. Just look a likes or street locks. I think unless you go to steel wheels it'll be hard to find anything any narrower.

Axles getting the ends welded on and I finally started on the new center console with the shifter. I don’t have a clue what I’m doing but it’s a start.. I think it needs to be lowered a half inch to match the cubbie under the radio but I’ll mess with it more tomorrow.

You're selling those wheels too early. I don't need them yet.

I suppose shipping them up here wouldn't be cost effective anyway.

Jealous of your rig and setup for sure. Gorgeous stuff man.

Thanks man haha. I don’t have a clue what I’m doing

You should just buy the wheels ;). Think it said 35 dollars a wheel to ship which is pretty good I think.

I should, but I'll have to get my outer running gear on to see what kind of backspacing I need. Dunno what I'll need to keep the track width and leaf clearance balanced yet.

Yeah. Probably not worth it at that point. :(

"The friendliest border in the world". Yeah sure. I can ship shit from DENMARK here easier and cheaper.

More to the shit show. Still no clue what I’m doing.

Got the shifter mounted but think it needs to be angled to match the dash. Made a wedge for the cutting brake so the levers are 90*. Think it’s coming around. Just a lot of stuff in a small area. Race radio will need to be moved for sure.

All welded. Time for some braces more tubes to mount panels to and then it’ll be wiring and clean plumbing lines. That big bare side may need some dimples thoughhhh...

So what made you choose to go with that shifter and add cutting brakes? Did you add line locks too?
I have a little line lock/shut off valve since there won’t be a parking brake.

Not really sure what made me go with the shifter. I found a good deal on a new in box one and always wanted it to hold a gear rather than letting it dhift. Guess more cause race truck on the shifter hahaha.

The cutting brakes is because it’s so long. At 125” wb it’s hard to make a lot of turns without doing a multiple point turn. With the zip locker in the rear I’ll be able to lock the inside wheel and drag it and hopefully make a tighter turn. Works in theory and Jesse Hanes put one is his Roxor and works really well in comps.

Sounds like it’ll help quite a bit in the tight turns. I went wheeling with a friend from high school’s dad a couple years ago. He’s got an Atlas, cutting brakes, and line locks on his CJ on 39’s. He was playing around in some super gnarly notches and I was so amazed on what he could do with those cutting brakes and front digs. He would just lock a rear wheel and the front would just pull him wherever he was looking to go. Pretty amazing what lines he could take doing that.
